Aamir Khan Calls Gauri Spratt a ‘Blessing’ Ahead of Wedding, Reveals Why Their Big Day Will Be Surprisingly Simple
The Bollywood superstar opens up about his July 5 wedding plans, choosing privacy over grandeur as he begins a new chapter with Gauri Spratt.
Aamir Khan is choosing a different path. The Bollywood icon has revealed that his upcoming wedding with girlfriend Gauri Spratt will be a quiet and intimate affair, away from the usual media frenzy.
Speaking candidly in a recent interview, Aamir shared that the ceremony, scheduled for July 5, will be “a very simple registered marriage”, attended only by close family members and a handful of friends. “It will be very private… just both families and really close friends,” he said, underlining his desire to keep the occasion meaningful rather than extravagant.
A Love Story That Came Full Circle
Interestingly, Aamir and Gauri’s relationship is not a recent development. Their story dates back over two decades when they first met but eventually lost touch. Years later, fate brought them back together, and what began as a renewed friendship slowly blossomed into love.
The actor officially introduced Gauri to the public during his 60th birthday celebration in March 2025, confirming what many had speculated. Since then, the couple has maintained a relatively low profile, making only a few public appearances together.
Reflecting on his relationship, Aamir described Gauri as “a blessing” in his life. He shared, “I feel very fortunate that I met her… I feel at peace with her.” His words hint at a deeply personal connection, one that he values beyond public attention.
‘People Should Focus on Our Work’
While the news of his wedding has sparked excitement among fans, Aamir expressed surprise at the intense public interest. He remarked that there is often too much focus on celebrities’ personal lives, adding that people should ideally pay more attention to their work.
“There is too much interest in the lives of actors and cricketers… I don’t know how the information leaked. These days, nothing is off-bounds,” he said, reflecting on the challenges of maintaining privacy in today’s digital age.

A New Beginning After Two Marriages
This will be Aamir Khan’s third marriage. He was previously married to Reena Dutta, with whom he shares two children, and later to filmmaker Kiran Rao, with whom he continues to co-parent their son.
Despite past relationships, Aamir spoke with maturity and gratitude, acknowledging that while his earlier marriages were meaningful, life has now brought him to a new phase. “I feel like I am finally complete now,” he admitted, offering a rare glimpse into his emotional world.

Gauri Spratt, too, comes with her own life experiences, being a mother to a son from a previous relationship. Together, the couple appears to be embracing a blended and grounded future.
Choosing Simplicity Over Showbiz Glamour
In contrast to the lavish weddings often associated with Bollywood, Aamir’s decision reflects a conscious choice. By opting for a registered marriage at home, he seems to be prioritizing authenticity and emotional closeness over public spectacle.
As fans eagerly await July 5, one thing is clear — this wedding may not be grand in scale, but it carries a deeply personal significance for one of India’s most celebrated actors.
