Did Chiyaan Vikram Reduce His Fee for ‘Chiyaan63’? Report Claims Actor Agreed to Rs 20 Crore Deal
Chiyaan Vikram reunites with director Anand Shankar for the high-energy action entertainer Chiyaan63, while reports about the actor’s revised remuneration spark discussion across the Tamil film industry.
Tamil superstar Chiyaan Vikram is once again grabbing headlines as his upcoming film, tentatively titled Chiyaan63, officially moves into production. While the project has already created strong excitement among fans due to Vikram’s reunion with filmmaker Anand Shankar, fresh reports about the actor’s remuneration have now become the latest talking point in Kollywood.
According to industry buzz, Vikram has reportedly agreed to charge around Rs 20 crore for the film. The reported figure has surprised many, especially considering the actor’s stature and long-standing reputation as one of Tamil cinema’s most committed performers.
Industry tracker reports suggest that Vikram may have consciously reduced his upfront fee in response to changing market dynamics within the film industry. However, the actor is also believed to have secured a profit-sharing agreement with the makers, allowing him to earn from the film’s theatrical and post-release success. As of now, the production team has not officially confirmed these financial details.
The development has sparked conversations because Vikram has consistently been regarded as an actor who prioritises challenging roles and cinematic quality over commercial formulas. Known for undergoing intense physical transformations and pushing boundaries for his performances, the actor continues to command immense respect among audiences and filmmakers alike.
The makers recently unveiled a special teaser titled First Flame, giving fans a stylish glimpse into the world of Chiyaan63. The short video showcased Vikram making a dramatic entry amid smoke-filled visuals and pulsating action energy. The teaser was elevated further by composer Santhosh Narayanan’s electrifying background score, instantly increasing anticipation around the project.
The film marks Vikram’s second collaboration with Anand Shankar after their successful outing Iru Mugan. Their previous partnership blended stylish action, suspense and emotional drama, and fans are now expecting an even larger cinematic experience with Chiyaan63.

Adding to the excitement, actress Riya Shibu has reportedly been cast as the female lead. Veteran performers MS Bhaskar and Urvashi are also expected to play important roles in the film. While the storyline remains tightly under wraps, insiders hint that the project will feature a mass-action setup built around Vikram’s intense screen presence.
Reports indicate that the film may hit theatres either by the end of 2026 or during early 2027, although an official release date is yet to be announced.

Before Chiyaan63, Vikram had also announced a separate project with debut director Bodi Rajkumar under the Shanti Talkies banner. However, there have been very few updates regarding that film in recent months. Earlier speculation about a possible collaboration with director Madonne Ashwin also appears to have faded away for now.
Most recently, Vikram was seen in Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2, directed by SU Arun Kumar. The action thriller featured a powerful ensemble cast including Dushara Vijayan, SJ Suryah, and Suraj Venjaramoodu. The film followed the gripping story of a former gangster attempting to protect his family while confronting his violent past over the course of a single tense night.
With Chiyaan63 now officially underway, Vikram seems ready to enter yet another intense action phase in his career. Between the reunion with Anand Shankar, the energetic teaser, Santhosh Narayanan’s music and the reports surrounding his remuneration strategy, the project has already become one of the most closely watched Tamil films in development.
