‘Bahaut Lootegi’: Shah Rukh Khan’s Funny Warning to Mika Singh About Gauri Khan Leaves Fans in Splits

Bollywood singer Mika Singh has always been known for his larger-than-life personality, chartbuster party tracks, and extravagant lifestyle. But in a recent interview, the singer surprised fans by revealing that he now owns nearly 99 properties across India — a milestone he says he never imagined achieving while growing up.

During the candid conversation, Mika reflected on his journey from performing at local jagrans as a teenager to becoming one of India’s most successful playback singers. However, it was his amusing anecdote involving Shah Rukh Khan and interior designer Gauri Khan that truly caught everyone’s attention online.

Mika shared that his first-ever payment as a performer was just Rs 75, something he still remembers fondly. According to the singer, he was only 13 at the time and felt proud to earn through music. Over the years, constant performances and guidance from his elder brother Daler Mehndi helped him build both his career and confidence.

The singer explained that while success eventually brought him wealth and fame, owning dozens of properties was never part of his original dream. Music, he said, was always the priority.

Talking about his luxurious property in Mumbai’s Andheri, Mika recalled how he unexpectedly ended up purchasing six flats in the same building. At the time, the project was still under construction and the building remained largely empty. What started as a simple property visit soon turned into a major investment.

However, the most entertaining part of the story came when Mika decided to get the interiors designed by celebrity interior designer Gauri Khan, wife of Shah Rukh Khan.

According to Mika, he approached Shah Rukh Khan personally and requested him to convince Gauri to take up the project. SRK, known for his witty humour, immediately responded with a playful warning: “Bahaut lootegi tumhe” — hinting that Gauri’s luxury designs would cost him heavily.

Despite the warning, Mika went ahead with the decision and eventually met Gauri Khan. The singer revealed that Gauri had only one condition before starting the project — he should never question her creative choices during the design process.

Mika admitted that the interiors took nearly two years to complete, but he appeared more than satisfied with the final result.

The singer’s revelation quickly became a talking point among fans, many of whom loved Shah Rukh Khan’s humorous response and Mika’s honesty about his rise to success.
