Akshay Kumar Recalls Funny 90s Memory With Raveena Tandon at Welcome To The Jungle Trailer Launch

The trailer launch event of Welcome To The Jungle was filled with laughter, nostalgia, and memories from Bollywood’s golden era as actor Akshay Kumar shared a hilarious behind-the-scenes story involving his longtime co-star Raveena Tandon.

During the event, Akshay took everyone back to the early days of his film career and spoke about how drastically shooting conditions have changed in the film industry over the years.

Recalling the challenges actors faced during outdoor shoots in the 1990s, Akshay revealed that luxury vanity vans were almost non-existent at the time.

“Back then, there were no vanity vans. We used to change costumes wherever we could,” the actor said while addressing the audience.

The actor then narrated a funny incident involving Raveena Tandon that instantly became one of the highlights of the evening.

According to Akshay, while filming outdoors during the 1990s, Raveena once had to use a generator van as a temporary changing room because there were no proper facilities available on set.

“Raveena changed inside a generator van. That was our vanity van,” Akshay joked, leaving the audience and fellow cast members laughing.

The anecdote offered fans a charming glimpse into the realities of Bollywood filmmaking during an era when actors often worked in difficult conditions without the comforts available today.

Akshay also explained that despite the lack of facilities, actors rarely complained and simply adapted to the circumstances.

“We never complained. We just carried on with the shoot because that was the only option available to us,” he shared.

Raveena Tandon, who was present at the event and is reuniting with Akshay in Welcome To The Jungle, appeared amused by the memory as the audience cheered for the iconic pair.

The duo remains one of Bollywood’s most loved on-screen couples from the 1990s. Together, they delivered several memorable films including Mohra, Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi, and Barood, which continue to enjoy cult popularity among fans.

Akshay further reflected on how much the industry has evolved over the decades.

“Today, every actor has a vanity van with all kinds of facilities. Things are much more comfortable now,” he said.

He also noted that younger actors may find it difficult to imagine the kind of conditions under which films were made in earlier times.

The nostalgic exchange added warmth and emotional value to the trailer launch event, reminding audiences of Bollywood’s simpler and more hardworking days before modern film sets became highly luxurious.
