Revolt RVX Launch Stuns EV Market: 160 km Range, ₹85,000 Offer & Shark-Inspired Design… India’s New Electric Bike Gamechanger?

India’s electric mobility space has received a fresh jolt of excitement with the launch of the all-new RVX electric motorcycle by Revolt Motors. Positioned as a smart, commuter-friendly yet performance-capable machine, the RVX aims to bridge the gap between affordability and futuristic riding technology.

Unveiled at an introductory price of ₹1.29 lakh (ex-showroom), the motorcycle becomes even more accessible with government incentives. Under the Delhi EV policy, the price drops significantly, making it available at ₹95,000, and as low as ₹85,000 for buyers opting for scrappage benefits in Delhi.

Bookings for the RVX are now officially open, and deliveries are expected to begin by the end of July 2026, adding momentum to India’s rapidly expanding EV two-wheeler market.

Design inspired by speed and aggression

The RVX carries a striking design language inspired by a “shark-like body”, giving it a sharp, aerodynamic road presence. It is available in three colour options—Electric Blue, Pearl Black, and Eclipse White—targeting younger riders and urban commuters looking for style along with sustainability.

Performance that challenges expectations

At the heart of the motorcycle is a 3.24 kWh portable battery pack, delivering a claimed range of up to 160 km on a single charge. The bike can reach a top speed of 90 kmph, placing it in a strong position among entry-level electric motorcycles.

It also features an instant boost mode, hill hold control, walk assist, and reverse mode—features typically seen in premium EVs. The RVX offers a 14-degree incline capability, slightly reduced to 11 degrees with a pillion rider.

Charging performance is another highlight: the battery can be charged from 0–80% in just 3.30 hours using a standard charger, while a fast charger reduces this time to approximately 80 minutes.

Tech-loaded riding experience

The motorcycle is equipped with a fully digital instrument cluster, LED lighting setup, and a unique sound box offering four distinct artificial riding sounds. Connectivity features and carbon fibre design elements further enhance its futuristic appeal.

Suspension duties are handled by upside-down (USD) front forks and a rear monoshock setup, ensuring better handling and ride stability across Indian road conditions.

Part of a growing EV lineup

The RVX joins a growing portfolio of Revolt models including RV1, RV1+, RV BlazeX, RV400 BRZ, and RV400. While some models focus on daily commuting, others are positioned as performance-oriented machines, making RVX a balanced addition to the lineup.

Warranty and ownership assurance

Revolt is offering a standard warranty of 3 years or 40,000 km, whichever comes first. For added peace of mind, customers can opt for an extended warranty of 8 years or 80,000 km, strengthening long-term ownership confidence.

With India pushing hard towards electric mobility, and policies like the EV incentives gaining traction, the RVX arrives at a crucial time when buyers are actively shifting away from fuel-based commuting.
