With ‘Maa Inti Bangaaram’ continuing its strong box office run, filmmaker-producer Raj Nidimoru has spoken candidly about Samantha’s journey as an actor, praising her commitment, evolution, and hunger to constantly improve.

In a recent interview, Raj described Samantha as a “self-made actor” who has earned her place through sheer hard work and talent.

“She’s a hungry and self-made actor. I haven’t seen her early works, but I know the adulation she got and the stardom she has enjoyed over many years,” Raj said.

He reflected on the reality of the entertainment industry, where the shelf-life of actors often becomes a point of concern, but emphasized that true longevity comes from skill—not just stardom.

According to him, Samantha understands this better than most.

“Beyond a point, it’s your acting skills that keep an actor alive longer. She’s constantly aware and wanting to change, improve and find new ways of performing scenes,” he shared.

Raj also revealed an interesting insight into Samantha’s work ethic on set.

He said the actress often arrives with deep mental preparation, something she rarely talks about openly, but it shows in her performances—especially in her first take.

“Most of the time, she has already done enough mental homework. She brings it out in the first take itself. That’s why I usually prefer her first take—it carries something different,” he said.

Over the years, Samantha has built a reputation for refusing to stay confined to one image. From mainstream commercial entertainers to emotionally demanding dramas and experimental roles, her filmography reflects a conscious effort to evolve.

That artistic courage seems to be paying off once again with ‘Maa Inti Bangaaram’, which has emerged as one of the biggest female-led Telugu hits of 2026.

Directed by B. V. Nandini Reddy, the action-family drama has struck a chord with audiences thanks to its emotional storytelling, action-packed moments, and Samantha’s powerful central performance.

According to trade reports, the film has already crossed ₹28 crore net in India and grossed over ₹46 crore worldwide, making it one of Samantha’s strongest theatrical runs in recent years.

The film also stars Gulshan Devaiah, Diganth Manchale, Gautami, and Sreemukhi in key roles.
