Brother Hospitalised After Violent Assault

According to reports, Bijendra Nath Tiwari, the elder brother of Pankaj Tripathi, was allegedly attacked with an axe following an ongoing dispute over land.

The attack reportedly took place in Belsand Tiwari Tola, a village that falls under the jurisdiction of the Madhopur Police Station in Gopalganj.

Following the assault, Tiwari was rushed to Gopalganj Sadar Hospital for emergency treatment. Due to the seriousness of his injuries, doctors later referred him to Patna for advanced medical care.

Medical officials have since stated that his condition is stable and that he remains under observation.

Police Launch Investigation, Accused Arrested

The incident triggered an immediate response from local law enforcement agencies.

Senior police officers visited the crime scene shortly after receiving information about the attack. Investigators collected evidence and began questioning witnesses to establish the sequence of events.

A Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team was also called in to assist with the investigation. During the examination, officials reportedly recovered the suspected weapon used in the assault, along with blood-stained clothing and other material evidence.

Police identified the accused as Rajesh Sah, a neighbour of the victim. Authorities confirmed that he was arrested soon after the incident.

Officials have also formed a special team to investigate whether additional individuals were involved and to ensure all legal procedures are carried out properly.

The case has once again highlighted how land-related disagreements continue to be a major source of conflict in several parts of rural India.
