The new Oppo K14 Lite has launched in India at ₹16,999, featuring a massive 7,000mAh battery, 120Hz display, Android 16-based software and AI-powered camera tools.

Oppo has expanded its K-series portfolio in India with the launch of the new Oppo K14 Lite, a budget-focused smartphone that puts battery endurance and a large display at the centre of its appeal.

Priced at ₹16,999, the handset packs a sizeable 7,000mAh battery, a 6.75-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate, an IP64 rating and several AI-powered photography tools.

The smartphone is aimed at buyers who prioritise long battery life and everyday multimedia use without moving into the more expensive mid-range segment.

Oppo K14 Lite price in India and launch offer

The Oppo K14 Lite has been priced at ₹16,999 for its 4GB RAM + 64GB storage configuration.

Customers can choose between two colour options Feather Purple and Stone Brown.

Sales have begun through Oppo’s online store and Flipkart.

As part of the introductory offer, eligible customers can receive an instant bank discount of up to ₹1,000, effectively reducing the price to ₹15,999. Buyers can also opt for a three-month no-cost EMI offer, subject to eligibility and applicable terms.

120Hz display, but there’s something buyers should know

On the front, the Oppo K14 Lite features a 6.75-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 720 × 1,570 pixels.

While the panel offers a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, its HD+ resolution is worth noting for buyers who prioritise sharper displays.

Oppo claims the screen can reach a peak brightness of up to 900 nits.

The company has also added Splash Touch, Oily-Hand Touch and Glove Touch technologies. These are designed to keep the touchscreen responsive when users have wet or oily fingers or are wearing gloves.

Android 16 and Unisoc processor

Under the hood, the Oppo K14 Lite is powered by the Unisoc T7250 octa-core processor, paired with 4GB LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB UFS 2.2 storage.

The handset runs ColorOS 16 based on Android 16.

Oppo has also integrated support for Google Gemini, bringing Google’s AI capabilities to the device for tasks such as answering questions, generating content and assisting with everyday smartphone activities.

13MP camera gets AI-powered editing tools

Photography hardware on the Oppo K14 Lite remains relatively straightforward.

The smartphone carries a 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera, while selfies and video calls are handled by a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.

Users get photography modes including Portrait, Night and Time-lapse, alongside several AI-assisted editing features.

These include AI Eraser, which can help remove unwanted elements from photographs; AI Clear Face, designed to improve facial details; and AI Smart Image Matting 2.0, which can help users isolate subjects from images for further editing.

7,000mAh battery is the biggest attraction

The standout feature, however, is undoubtedly the 7,000mAh battery.

Large-capacity batteries are increasingly becoming a selling point in affordable smartphones, and Oppo is making endurance a major part of the K14 Lite’s pitch.

According to company claims, the battery can deliver as much as 55.55 hours of calling, 26.84 hours of YouTube playback or 13.19 hours of PUBG Mobile gaming under its specified testing conditions.

Real-world battery performance will naturally depend on factors including screen brightness, network connectivity, applications running in the background and individual usage habits.

Oppo also claims that the battery is engineered to retain more than 80% of its original capacity after 1,800 charging cycles, potentially helping it maintain useful capacity over prolonged use.

There is a catch: 15W charging

While the 7,000mAh capacity is impressive on paper, charging speed is considerably more modest.

The Oppo K14 Lite supports 15W wired charging, meaning buyers looking specifically for rapid charging should keep the specification in mind.

The device also offers reverse wired charging, allowing its large battery to provide power to compatible devices through a wired connection.

IP64 protection adds everyday durability

The smartphone carries an IP64 rating, providing resistance against dust ingress and water splashes under specified laboratory conditions.

That doesn’t make the K14 Lite a waterproof smartphone, but the added protection could prove useful against accidental splashes during everyday use.

Who is the Oppo K14 Lite aimed at?

At ₹16,999, the Oppo K14 Lite makes its priorities fairly clear.

The combination of a 7,000mAh battery, 120Hz display, large 6.75-inch screen and Android 16 software makes it particularly focused on users who spend significant time watching videos, browsing social media or simply want to avoid charging their phone frequently.

At the same time, buyers will need to weigh those strengths against the HD+ screen resolution, 15W charging and relatively modest 13MP rear camera.

With the launch discount bringing its effective price to ₹15,999 for eligible buyers, Oppo is betting that exceptionally long battery life and a smooth display will be enough to make the K14 Lite stand out in India’s fiercely competitive affordable smartphone market.
