Mahindra Thar Roxx gets costlier: Prices hiked by up to ₹78,000 across petrol and diesel variants
Mahindra has increased the prices of the Thar Roxx lineup, with hikes ranging from ₹12,500 to ₹78,000 across both 2WD and 4WD models.
Mahindra & Mahindra has announced a price hike for its popular Thar Roxx SUV lineup, making the off-roader more expensive across all variants. The revised prices apply to both petrol and diesel models, including 2WD and 4WD versions.
The latest revision sees prices increase by ₹12,500 to ₹78,000, depending on the variant. The updated pricing follows Mahindra’s earlier announcement on July 8, when the company indicated an average price increase of around 10 per cent across its vehicle range.
However, actual on-road prices may vary depending on the dealership, location and applicable state taxes.
Petrol variants receive hikes of up to ₹59,000
Among the petrol-powered Mahindra Thar Roxx models, the entry-level MX1 Manual receives the smallest increase of ₹12,500.
Meanwhile, the Star Edition Automatic, introduced earlier this year, has witnessed the highest increase in the petrol lineup, with its price going up by ₹59,000.
The revised prices affect every petrol variant, making the entire range costlier for prospective buyers.
Diesel variants see the biggest price revisions
The diesel-powered Thar Roxx models have experienced even steeper price hikes.
Depending on the variant, the increase ranges from ₹22,500 to ₹78,000.
The AX7L 2WD and AX7L 2WD with Mocha interiors have received the highest hike of ₹78,000, making them the most affected variants in the lineup.

At the other end of the spectrum, the MX5 Diesel Manual has received one of the smallest increases among diesel models.
For buyers considering four-wheel-drive versions, the MX 4WD variants are now ₹37,500 more expensive, while the premium AX7 4WD models have seen a price hike of ₹68,000.

Buyers should check local dealership prices
While Mahindra has revised the ex-showroom prices nationwide, the final price paid by customers may differ based on state taxes, registration charges, insurance costs, and dealer-specific offers.
Prospective buyers are advised to check with their nearest Mahindra dealership for the latest pricing, available discounts and delivery timelines before making a purchase.
Thar Roxx continues to be a key SUV for Mahindra
Despite the latest price increase, the Mahindra Thar Roxx remains one of the brand’s most sought-after SUVs in India, thanks to its rugged styling, premium features, multiple powertrain options and off-road capabilities.
With strong demand continuing in the lifestyle SUV segment, the revised pricing reflects Mahindra’s strategy of aligning prices with market conditions while maintaining the Thar Roxx’s premium positioning.
