Citroen Basalt X Comfort Edition launched in India at ₹8.75 lakh: Premium cabin, JBL audio and more added
Citroen has introduced the Basalt X Comfort Edition with upgraded interiors, new comfort-focused features and optional accessory packs, aiming to enhance the ownership experience without a steep price increase.
Citroen India has expanded its SUV portfolio with the launch of the Basalt X Comfort Edition, priced from ₹8.75 lakh (ex-showroom).
The special edition builds on the standard Citroen Basalt by offering a more premium cabin, additional convenience features and greater personalization options. The launch follows the introduction of the Aircross Comfort Edition, which received a similar comfort-oriented treatment.
Premium interiors take centre stage
While the exterior design remains largely unchanged, Citroen has focused on upgrading the interior experience.
The Basalt X Comfort Edition now comes with Metropolitan Beige leatherette seats as standard across all Comfort Edition variants. The new upholstery is designed to give the cabin a more premium appearance while enhancing overall comfort for occupants.
The updated interior reflects Citroen’s strategy of making the Basalt feel more upmarket without significantly increasing its price.
Comfort AXS Packs offer more customization
To provide buyers with greater flexibility, Citroen is also introducing Comfort AXS Packs, allowing customers to add features based on their preferences.
These curated packs are aimed at improving convenience, technology and styling, enabling buyers to personalise their vehicle according to their lifestyle and daily driving needs.

JBL audio, wireless charging and safety features included
The Basalt X Comfort Edition can be equipped with several premium features through the Comfort AXS Packs.
Key additions include:
- JBL premium audio system
- Front and cabin dash cameras with predictive safety alerts
- Reverse parking camera
- Wireless smartphone charger
- 10-inch Android touchscreen infotainment system
These features are intended to improve both everyday convenience and driving confidence, particularly for customers who frequently commute in urban environments.

According to Citroen, the Basalt X Comfort Edition has been created for customers looking for a more premium ownership experience without stepping into a significantly higher price bracket.
Speaking about the launch, Kumar Priyesh, Business Head and Director, Automotive Brands, Stellantis India, said the company is extending its comfort-focused philosophy to the Basalt after the encouraging response to the Aircross Comfort Edition.
He noted that the combination of factory-fitted premium interiors and optional Comfort AXS Packs allows buyers to enjoy enhanced convenience, technology and personalization.
