The all-new Ferrari Amalfi Spider features a retractable soft-top roof, a 640 bhp twin-turbo V8 engine and a starting price of ₹4.6 crore in India.

Ferrari has officially expanded its luxury sports car portfolio in India with the launch of the Ferrari Amalfi Spider, a stunning convertible grand tourer priced at ₹4.6 crore (ex-showroom). The model joins the recently launched Ferrari Amalfi Coupe, completing the Amalfi family for Indian buyers looking for high-performance luxury with open-top driving.

Positioned as the convertible version of the Amalfi Coupe, the new Spider combines Ferrari’s signature performance with the thrill of driving under the open sky without compromising on comfort or technology.

Here are the top five facts you should know about the Ferrari Amalfi Spider

1. It is priced lower than the Amalfi Coupe

One of the biggest surprises is its pricing. Despite being a convertible, the Ferrari Amalfi Spider is priced at ₹4.6 crore (ex-showroom), making it ₹99 lakh more affordable than the Ferrari Amalfi Coupe, which carries a price tag of ₹5.59 crore (ex-showroom).

This makes the Spider an attractive choice for buyers who want the excitement of an open-top Ferrari while spending less than the coupe variant.

2. The V8 engine delivers breathtaking performance

Under the hood, the Amalfi Spider is powered by the same 3.9-litre twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine found in the coupe.

The engine produces an impressive 640 bhp and 760 Nm of peak torque, paired with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT).

Ferrari claims the convertible can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds, matching the performance of the coupe despite carrying an additional 86 kg due to its retractable roof mechanism.

3. The retractable soft-top is the biggest highlight

The defining feature of the Amalfi Spider is its electrically operated soft-top roof.

The roof can be opened or closed in 13.5 seconds and can even operate while the car is moving at speeds of up to 60 km/h. Apart from this convertible roof, the Spider remains mechanically and technologically identical to the coupe.

4. Ferrari’s iconic styling remains intact

The Amalfi Spider retains the sleek and sporty styling of the coupe with only subtle changes to accommodate the convertible roof.

Its exterior features include slim LED headlamps, a black connecting strip across the front, large air intakes, a sculpted bumper designed for improved aerodynamics, sleek LED tail-lamps, a quad exhaust system, and an active rear spoiler that automatically adjusts according to driving conditions for enhanced stability.

5. Premium cabin packed with advanced technology

Inside, the Amalfi Spider offers a luxurious 2+2 seating layout with premium leather upholstery and a driver-focused cockpit.

Other premium features include powered front seats, automatic climate control, wireless smartphone charging, and a multifunction steering wheel with physical controls.

On the safety front, Ferrari has equipped the Amalfi Spider with Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), along with a 360-degree surround-view camera.

The car also offers practical storage, providing 255 litres of boot space with the roof closed, which reduces to 172 litres when the soft-top is folded.

Final thoughts

The Ferrari Amalfi Spider combines breathtaking performance, timeless Italian styling and cutting-edge technology in an elegant convertible package. With its powerful V8 engine, quick-folding soft-top and luxurious interior, it offers enthusiasts an exhilarating grand touring experience.
