Mahindra Thar Roxx Price Hike: SUV Gets Costlier by Up to ₹78,000
Mahindra Thar Roxx prices have been increased by up to ₹78,000 across select petrol and diesel variants in India.

The Mahindra Thar Roxx has become more expensive in India, with Mahindra & Mahindra revising prices across its popular five-door SUV range. The latest price increase affects both petrol and diesel versions, along with 2WD and 4WD variants, with the hike ranging from ₹12,500 to ₹78,000 depending on the model and trim.

The latest revision comes shortly after Mahindra announced a broader price increase across its vehicle portfolio. For buyers planning to purchase the Thar Roxx, the new prices could make the decision slightly more expensive, particularly for customers eyeing higher-end variants.

Mahindra Thar Roxx Petrol Variants Get Price Hike

The petrol-powered Thar Roxx range has also received a price revision, although the increase varies significantly between variants.

The entry-level MX1 MT petrol variant has received a relatively modest hike of ₹12,500. Meanwhile, the Star Edition AT, which was introduced earlier this year, has seen a much larger increase of ₹59,000.

The Star Edition’s latest revision makes it one of the petrol variants to receive the biggest price increase in the current update.

For customers considering the petrol automatic version, the price adjustment is something worth keeping in mind before finalising a purchase. The Thar Roxx’s combination of SUV styling, five-door practicality and off-road capability has helped it attract buyers looking for something more versatile than a conventional urban SUV.

Diesel Thar Roxx Prices Rise Even More

The price increase is more significant across the diesel-powered Thar Roxx range. Depending on the variant, customers will now have to pay between ₹22,500 and ₹78,000 more.

The biggest hike has reportedly been applied to the fully loaded AX7L 2WD and AX7L 2WD with Mocha interiors, which have become costlier by ₹78,000.

At the lower end of the diesel price revision is the MX5 Diesel MT, which has received a hike of ₹22,500.

The MX 4WD variants have become more expensive by ₹37,500, while the AX7 4WD versions have received a price increase of ₹68,000.

For buyers specifically interested in the four-wheel-drive versions, the latest revision could have a noticeable impact on the overall purchase budget.

Thar Roxx Star Edition Also Gets Costlier

The Star Edition is among the variants affected by the latest price changes. The special edition was launched earlier this year and is positioned as a more distinctive offering within the Thar Roxx range.

With the latest revision, buyers looking at the Star Edition automatic will now have to factor in the additional price increase before booking the SUV.

The Thar Roxx has continued to build a strong presence in India’s lifestyle SUV market, competing with vehicles that combine everyday usability with a more rugged design and off-road character.

Check Your Local Dealer Before Booking

One important point for prospective buyers is that the final on-road price can vary depending on the dealership, state and applicable offers. Customers should therefore confirm the latest ex-showroom and on-road pricing with their nearest Mahindra & Mahindra dealership before making a booking.

The company has also been making periodic price adjustments across its model range, making it important for buyers to check whether any dealer-level discounts or promotional schemes are currently available.

For those who have been waiting to bring home a Thar Roxx, the latest price revision could mean paying significantly more depending on the variant chosen. While the entry-level petrol model has seen a relatively small increase, the jump of up to ₹78,000 on select diesel variants could make the higher-end versions considerably more expensive.

With the Thar Roxx continuing to appeal to customers who want a combination of road presence, practicality and off-road ability, the latest price hike is unlikely to go unnoticed—especially among buyers already comparing multiple variants before placing an order.
