Mahindra Scorpio-N Facelift Spotted Without Camouflage Ahead of August Launch: New Screen, Digital Cluster and Bigger Sunroof Revealed…
The highly anticipated Mahindra Scorpio-N facelift has been spotted undisguised ahead of its expected August 2026 launch, revealing major cabin upgrades while the SUV’s exterior design is likely to remain largely unchanged.
The Mahindra Scorpio-N appears to be gearing up for its first major facelift, and the latest undisguised sighting has given SUV enthusiasts their clearest look yet at what’s coming.
The updated SUV has reportedly been spotted without camouflage ahead of its expected launch next month, revealing several important changes inside the cabin. While the exterior is likely to receive only subtle styling revisions, the interior of the Scorpio-N facelift could see a much more noticeable transformation.
For Mahindra & Mahindra, the timing would also fit a familiar pattern.
The automaker has frequently used 15 August, India’s Independence Day, as an occasion for major product announcements and launches. If the latest reports prove accurate, the Scorpio-N facelift could be one of the company’s headline reveals this year.
New Infotainment Screen Could Be One of the Biggest Changes
The most significant update appears to be the new infotainment system.
The facelifted Scorpio-N is expected to receive a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment display, replacing the smaller unit currently offered. The larger screen reportedly sits prominently on the dashboard and is accompanied by physical controls underneath.
The layout appears to draw inspiration from the Mahindra XUV 3XO and Mahindra Thar Roxx, giving the Scorpio-N’s cabin a more modern appearance without completely redesigning the dashboard.

For buyers who have felt that the Scorpio-N’s cabin technology was beginning to look dated compared with newer rivals, the larger display could be a welcome upgrade.
Fully Digital Instrument Cluster Coming?
Another major change could be directly in front of the driver.
The current semi-digital instrument cluster is expected to make way for a fully digital instrument cluster. This would bring the Scorpio-N more in line with the growing trend of larger digital displays and customisable driver information screens in modern SUVs.
The combination of a larger infotainment screen and a digital driver’s display could significantly improve the overall technology experience inside the Scorpio-N.
The panoramic sunroof is also expected to be upgraded, with the facelifted model appearing to feature a larger unit. This could further strengthen the SUV’s appeal among buyers who place a premium on cabin ambience and features.

Dashboard Gets a Few More Tweaks
The interior changes aren’t limited to the screens.
The centre air vents appear to have been repositioned into a horizontal layout, giving the dashboard a slightly different visual character.
However, the facelift does not appear to bring a complete cabin redesign.
The dashboard control buttons, gear lever and USB ports are expected to continue largely unchanged. The familiar tan-coloured interior theme also appears to remain, while the existing steering wheel design is likely to be carried forward.
This suggests that Mahindra’s strategy with the facelift is more about bringing the Scorpio-N’s technology up to date rather than completely reinventing the SUV’s interior.
Exterior Design Likely to Remain Familiar
If you’re expecting a dramatically different Scorpio-N from the outside, the facelift may not deliver that.
The latest sightings suggest that exterior changes will be relatively limited. The SUV could receive a few styling tweaks and possibly new colour options, but a major design overhaul does not appear to be on the cards.
That isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
The Scorpio-N has developed a strong visual identity since its launch, and its upright stance and rugged design remain among its biggest selling points. A subtle facelift could allow Mahindra to refresh the SUV while retaining the styling that buyers have already embraced.
Previous Update Already Added ADAS and New Z8T Variant
The upcoming facelift follows a significant update that the Scorpio-N received in June 2025.
That update brought ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) to the SUV, along with the introduction of the Z8T variant.
The Z8T variant also added several premium features, including a Sony sound system, front camera, powered and cooled front seats and an electronic parking brake.
With those additions already introduced, the upcoming facelift appears to be focused primarily on modernising the cabin and improving the SUV’s technology package.
No Major Mechanical Changes Expected
Under the bonnet, however, the Scorpio-N facelift is not expected to undergo significant changes.
The SUV is likely to continue with its existing 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engine options.
Transmission choices are also expected to remain familiar, with buyers likely to continue getting six-speed manual and six-speed torque-converter automatic gearbox options.
This means the facelift should largely retain the mechanical character that has helped the Scorpio-N establish itself in India’s competitive SUV market.
August Launch Could Be the Big Reveal
The undisguised sighting has certainly increased anticipation around the updated Scorpio-N.
With a larger infotainment screen, a fully digital instrument cluster and a potentially bigger panoramic sunroof, the facelift appears ready to address some of the SUV’s technology-related shortcomings without moving too far away from its established identity.
The bigger question now is whether 15 August will once again become an important date for Mahindra’s product portfolio.
If the company follows its established Independence Day tradition, the Scorpio-N facelift could soon take centre stage.
For existing Scorpio-N fans and buyers considering a new SUV, the upcoming update may be worth waiting for. The exterior may look familiar, and the engines may remain unchanged, but the cabin could finally receive the modern technology upgrade many customers have been waiting to see.
