Kangana Ranaut Slams CJP Over Protest Videos, Says ‘I Have Never Seen So Much Ugliness’; Targets Opposition Over Exam Reform Bill

New Delhi: Actor-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut has strongly criticized the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) over its anti-NEET paper leak protests, calling the group’s conduct “disturbing” and “crass.” The BJP MP also took aim at Opposition parties, accusing them of obstructing parliamentary proceedings during discussions on the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Amendment Bill, 2026.

The remarks came after videos from the student-led protests circulated widely on social media, triggering political reactions from multiple quarters.

Kangana Reacts to Viral Protest Videos

In a series of posts shared on Instagram, Kangana Ranaut expressed her displeasure after watching clips from the demonstrations.

She said the language and behavior seen in the videos left her deeply uncomfortable.“The way they speak and the kind of language they are using… everything in each and every frame is so jarring and so crass all at once. Ewwww…”

Ranaut also criticized the group’s name, saying it reflected what she believed was the nature of the protests.“You call yourself cockroaches and look and behave like them as well. There is no paradox or juxtaposition there, just simply subjecting the world to your filth, garbage and ugliness.”

The BJP MP further wrote that she had “never in my life seen so much ugliness in one place,” adding that the videos had left her emotionally drained and that she felt the need for a “digital detox.”

Criticism of Opposition Over Education Reform Bill

Later in the day, Kangana also commented on the political deadlock in Parliament surrounding the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Amendment Bill, 2026.

Speaking to reporters, she alleged that Opposition parties were deliberately disrupting parliamentary proceedings despite the importance of the proposed legislation.

According to Ranaut, the Opposition was unwilling to allow Parliament to function because it had failed to secure power.“I think they have made up their minds that until they get the chair, they won’t let Parliament function, no matter how crucial the issues.”

She further accused Opposition MPs of resisting the introduction of the education reform Bill, claiming their actions were preventing important legislative work from moving forward.

The controversy comes as the government pushes forward with the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Amendment Bill, 2026, aimed at strengthening measures against examination malpractice and paper leaks.
