Harley-Davidson X440 gets another price hike in India, with prices increasing by up to ₹2,000.

New Delhi: The Harley-Davidson X440 has become slightly more expensive in India. The motorcycle has received a price hike of up to ₹2,000, depending on the variant.

This marks the second price increase for the X440 this year. However, unlike a major product update, the latest revision does not bring any mechanical changes to the motorcycle.

The starting price now stands at ₹2.60 lakh (ex-showroom).

Harley-Davidson X440 price increased again

The latest price revision applies across the X440 range, with the maximum increase capped at ₹2,000.

Earlier, Harley-Davidson had increased the price of the X440 by up to ₹5,000. Compared with that earlier hike, the latest increase is relatively modest.

For prospective buyers, this means the motorcycle costs a little more, but there is no additional equipment or performance upgrade accompanying the revised price.

Same 440cc engine continues

Mechanically, the Harley-Davidson X440 continues with its 440cc, air/oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine.

The motor develops 27bhp of power and 38Nm of peak torque. The engine is tuned to offer strong torque delivery, making the motorcycle suitable for everyday city riding as well as longer highway journeys.

The latest price hike does not bring any changes to the engine, transmission or other major mechanical components.

X440 faces tough competition

The X440 competes in one of India’s most competitive premium motorcycle segments.

One of its biggest rivals is the Royal Enfield Classic 350, which has a strong following among Indian motorcycle buyers.

The Honda H’ness CB350 is another important competitor, while the Triumph Speed 400 brings a more performance-oriented character to the segment.

Against these motorcycles, the X440’s biggest attraction remains its combination of Harley-Davidson styling, a torquey engine and the brand’s premium appeal.

Should you still buy the Harley-Davidson X440?

For someone already considering the X440, the latest ₹2,000 increase is unlikely to completely change the buying decision.

The motorcycle continues to offer the same 440cc engine, performance and overall package. However, buyers working with a strict budget may want to compare the updated price with competing motorcycles before making a final decision.

The X440 has also recently received attention from long-term motorcycle reviewers, which could provide buyers with a better understanding of its real-world ownership experience.

Second hike, same motorcycle

The latest price revision tells a simple story: the Harley-Davidson X440 now costs more, but it has not changed mechanically.

With prices starting at ₹2.60 lakh, the X440 continues its battle against the Classic 350, H’ness CB350 and Speed 400.

For Harley-Davidson, keeping the X440 competitive will be important as Indian buyers in this segment increasingly have more choices than ever before.
