2026 Royal Enfield Classic 350 Launched in India: Price, New Features, Engine & Specifications
The 2026 Royal Enfield Classic 350 receives a new assist and slipper clutch along with a USB Type-C fast charging port while retaining its iconic retro styling.

Royal Enfield has introduced the 2026 Classic 350 in the Indian market, bringing subtle yet practical upgrades to one of the country’s most beloved motorcycles. While the retro styling remains untouched, the latest model receives two rider-focused additions aimed at improving everyday usability and long-distance comfort.

The updated motorcycle is priced from ₹1,87,434 (ex-showroom) and is now available across all dual-channel ABS variants at authorised Royal Enfield dealerships nationwide.

What’s New in the 2026 Classic 350?

Rather than redesigning the motorcycle, Royal Enfield has focused on improving the overall riding experience.

The biggest mechanical update is the addition of an assist and slipper clutch. This system reduces clutch lever effort, making stop-and-go city traffic less tiring while also helping prevent rear-wheel hopping during aggressive downshifts.

Another welcome addition is a USB Type-C fast charging port, allowing riders to charge smartphones, navigation devices, and other compatible gadgets while travelling. With mobile navigation becoming an essential part of touring, this feature adds a layer of convenience for daily commuters and long-distance riders alike.

Engine Remains Unchanged

Mechanically, the Classic 350 continues with the tried-and-tested 349cc air-oil cooled J-series engine.

The single-cylinder motor produces:

  • 20.2 bhp
  • 27 Nm of peak torque
  • 5-speed gearbox

The engine is known for its smooth power delivery and relaxed cruising nature, making it one of the strongest selling points of the Classic 350.

Suspension and Braking Setup

The motorcycle continues to be built around Royal Enfield’s twin downtube spine frame, offering a stable and comfortable ride.

The suspension setup includes:

  • 41mm telescopic front forks
  • Twin rear shock absorbers with six-step preload adjustment

Braking duties are handled by:

  • 300mm front disc brake
  • 270mm rear disc brake
  • Dual-channel ABS on applicable variants

The Classic 350 rides on a 19-inch front wheel and an 18-inch rear wheel, maintaining the traditional proportions that have become synonymous with the model.

Fuel Tank, Weight and Colours

The motorcycle retains its practical specifications, including:

  • 13-litre fuel tank
  • 195kg kerb weight

Royal Enfield is offering the updated Classic 350 in nine colour options, giving buyers plenty of choices while preserving the motorcycle’s iconic vintage appeal.

A Familiar Motorcycle, Now More Practical

The 2026 update is evolutionary rather than revolutionary.

Royal Enfield has wisely chosen not to alter the motorcycle’s classic styling or proven mechanical package. Instead, it has introduced modern conveniences that enhance the ownership experience without compromising the motorcycle’s timeless character.

For riders upgrading from an older Classic 350—or buyers entering the Royal Enfield family for the first time—the addition of a slipper clutch and USB Type-C charging makes the motorcycle even better suited to modern-day riding.

While enthusiasts hoping for major cosmetic or performance changes may find the update modest, the practical enhancements reinforce why the Classic 350 continues to remain one of India’s most popular retro motorcycles.
