Awarapan 2 Box Office Day 7: Emraan Hashmi’s ₹150 Crore Run Hits First Speed Bump… Can the Weekend Change the Game?
Awarapan 2 witnessed its first notable weekday slowdown on Day 7, collecting ₹6 crore nett in India and taking its worldwide gross beyond ₹161 crore in just one week.
Awarapan 2 has finally hit its first speed bump at the box office.
The Emraan Hashmi-starrer witnessed a noticeable slowdown on its first Thursday, with the film recording an 11 per cent day-wise decline and collecting around ₹6 crore nett in India, according to industry tracker Sacnilk.
While the drop marks a change in the film’s strong run so far, the overall picture remains encouraging. With the weekend now approaching, the romantic action drama will be hoping for a fresh jump in audience turnout and another strong phase at the box office.
Awarapan 2 Day 7 Box Office Collection
With its ₹6 crore Day 7 collection, Awarapan 2 has taken its total domestic nett collection to approximately ₹113.50 crore.
The film’s domestic gross currently stands at around ₹135.37 crore.
Overseas, the movie added approximately ₹1 crore on Thursday, taking its overseas gross to ₹26.30 crore.
As a result, Awarapan 2 has reached an estimated worldwide gross of ₹161.67 crore after seven days.
The weekday dip is worth watching, but the film’s overall numbers remain strong enough to keep its momentum intact heading into the second weekend.
Emraan Hashmi gets a major box-office milestone
The success of Awarapan 2 is particularly significant for Emraan Hashmi.
The film has become the actor’s first solo release to cross the ₹150 crore mark worldwide, giving his career a major box-office milestone.
The performance is also comfortably ahead of several of his earlier successful films.
For comparison, Raaz: The Mystery Continues, one of Hashmi’s notable earlier hits, earned around ₹38.09 crore worldwide, according to Box Office India.
The huge difference highlights just how dramatically Awarapan 2 has changed the scale of Emraan Hashmi’s recent box-office performance.
Can the second weekend bring another jump?
The most important test for Awarapan 2 now begins with its second weekend.

After a weekday dip, the film needs to demonstrate that audience interest remains strong enough to generate a healthy jump on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
A strong weekend could help the film push significantly beyond its current ₹161 crore worldwide mark and strengthen its position as one of Emraan Hashmi’s biggest commercial successes.
The film’s nostalgic connection with the original Awarapan, combined with its current theatrical momentum, could continue to work in its favour.
What is Awarapan 2 about?
Directed by Nitin Kakkar, Awarapan 2 is a romantic action drama and a sequel to the 2007 film Awarapan.

The film follows Shivam Pandit, who finds himself pulled back into the world of crime while dealing with themes of love, sacrifice and redemption.
The cast includes Emraan Hashmi, Disha Patani, Puran Gabbi, Aniruddh Rawal, Shabana Azmi, Suvinder Vicky, Vijayant Kohli and Atul Kumar.
The movie has been produced by Vishesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt under the Vishesh Films banner.
The ₹200 crore question
With Awarapan 2 already crossing ₹160 crore worldwide in its first week, the next question is how far the film can go.
The first Thursday slowdown is certainly something to keep an eye on, but it is too early to call it a major concern. The upcoming weekend will provide a much clearer picture of the film’s staying power.
For now, Awarapan 2 remains on a strong run, and Emraan Hashmi has every reason to celebrate a career-best solo box-office milestone.
