‘Indira Gandhi Would Have Banned BJP’: Ashok Gehlot’s Remark Triggers Political Firestorm, BJP Fires Back With Sharp Response

New Delhi/Jaipur: A fresh political controversy has erupted after senior Congress leader and former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot claimed that if former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi were alive today, she would have banned the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

The statement, made during a public event in Jaipur, has drawn strong criticism from BJP leaders and reignited a debate over religious polarisation, Hindutva politics and the ideological divide between India’s two major political parties.

What Did Ashok Gehlot Say?
