What’s New at the Terminal?
The newly constructed terminal covers an area of approximately 23,342 square metres and has been designed to enhance passenger convenience and streamline airport operations.
Some of the major features include:
- 20 modern check-in counters to help reduce waiting times.
- An upgraded baggage handling system for smoother luggage processing.
- Advanced security screening facilities aimed at improving passenger flow.
- Six aerobridges, allowing travellers to board aircraft directly from the terminal without the need for shuttle buses.
The improved infrastructure is expected to offer a faster and more comfortable travel experience for both departing and arriving passengers.

Passengers Asked to Reach Early
Since the transition to the new terminal marks a significant operational change, Air India has advised passengers to arrive at the airport earlier than usual during the initial days.
According to the airline, additional time may be required as travellers become familiar with the new check-in counters, security checkpoints and boarding procedures.
Arriving early can help passengers avoid unnecessary delays and reduce the risk of missing their scheduled flights.
Check Your Flight Details Before Leaving
Passengers who have already booked tickets for travel from Jodhpur Airport are encouraged to review their flight details and terminal information before heading to the airport.
While the flight schedules remain unchanged, all Air India departures from July 12 onwards will operate exclusively from the new terminal building.
The move is expected to improve operational efficiency while offering travellers a more modern airport experience with upgraded facilities and enhanced passenger comfort.
