Abhijeet Dipke Picked Up by Police CJP Makes Big Claim Amid NEET Protest, Says JP Nadda Assured Internal Talks

New Delhi: The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) on Monday claimed that its founder Abhijeet Dipke was taken into custody by the Delhi Police as demonstrations over the alleged NEET examination paper leak intensified in the national capital.

The allegation surfaced during the party’s ‘Chalo Sansad’ protest, which witnessed heavy police deployment, restrictions on public gatherings, and reports of detentions in several parts of central Delhi.

CJP Claims Police Action Against Protesters

The claim was made by CJP chief spokesperson Saurav Das, who alleged on social media platform X that Dipke had been “picked up” by the police during the protest.

Das also urged Members of Parliament to stand with the protesting students, alleging that peaceful demonstrators were facing a crackdown by law enforcement agencies.

As of now, Delhi Police has not officially confirmed the alleged detention of Abhijeet Dipke. The claims made by the party remain independently unverified.

Dipke Ends Hunger Strike After Sonam Wangchuk’s Appeal

Earlier on Monday, Abhijeet Dipke ended his indefinite hunger strike following an appeal from activist Sonam Wangchuk, who is currently admitted to Safdarjung Hospital.

Dipke had begun the fast after Wangchuk was hospitalised on July 18, bringing renewed attention to the ongoing protests demanding accountability over the alleged NEET exam leak and broader education reforms.

The hunger strike had become one of the symbolic highlights of the movement, drawing support from students and activists across the country.

CJP Leaders Meet Union Health Minister JP Nadda

Amid the protests, senior CJP representatives Ashutosh Ranka and Saurav Das met Union Health Minister JP Nadda at his residence in New Delhi.

According to Das, the meeting took place after more than two hours of waiting and lasted around ten minutes. During the interaction, the party submitted a written memorandum outlining its key demands.

Das later stated that JP Nadda assured them he would initiate internal discussions on the issues raised. He also mentioned receiving reports of large-scale detentions during the ongoing demonstrations.

Protests Continue Amid Political Attention

The protests surrounding the alleged NEET paper leak have continued to attract political attention, with opposition parties, student groups, and activists demanding greater transparency and accountability.

Meanwhile, security remains heightened in parts of the capital as authorities continue to monitor the situation and maintain law and order.

Whether the dialogue initiated with the Union Health Minister leads to any concrete outcome remains to be seen, even as student organisations continue to press for action.
