Vicky Kaushal has reportedly undergone one of the most demanding physical transformations of his career for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming epic romantic drama Love & War. According to media reports, the actor gained nearly 12 kg before later losing around 15 kg to portray different stages of his character in the highly anticipated film.
As per a report by Hindustan Times, Vicky’s transformation was carefully planned to match the evolving arc of his role. The actor is said to have first increased his body weight during the initial shooting schedule before undergoing a rigorous fitness regime to slim down for the film’s climax.
A source quoted in the report claimed that Vicky remained fully committed to the demanding physical changes required for the role, describing his dedication to authenticity as one of the defining aspects of his preparation.
This is not the first time Vicky Kaushal has transformed his physique for a film. Earlier, the actor earned widespread appreciation for his portrayal of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj in Chhaava, where his physical appearance and disciplined preparation were praised by both audiences and critics.
With Love & War now in the final stages of production after more than two years of filming, anticipation surrounding the project continues to grow.
