Thalapathy Vijay's Jana Nayagan continues its successful theatrical run, with the Hindi version becoming profitable within just 10 days.

Thalapathy Vijay’s final film before entering full-time politics, Jana Nayagan, continues to perform strongly at the box office. The political drama has overcome several challenges, including a six-month release delay and an online piracy leak, to emerge as one of the notable commercial successes of the year.

The film’s Hindi-dubbed version, Jan Neta, has particularly impressed trade analysts by becoming profitable within just 10 days of its theatrical release.

Hindi Version Delivers Profits

According to box office reports, Jana Nayagan has collected approximately ₹19.86 crore gross and ₹16.48 crore net across India in its first 10 days.

The Hindi version witnessed a 33% increase in collections on Saturday compared to Friday, indicating positive word-of-mouth and growing audience interest. The film is now expected to cross the ₹20 crore gross milestone soon.

Trade reports also suggest that the Hindi distribution rights were sold for around ₹4.5 crore, while the distributor’s share has already reached approximately ₹8.88 crore, making the Hindi release a profitable investment.

A Delayed Release That Didn’t Slow the Film

Originally planned for a January 9 Pongal release, the film was postponed due to censorship-related issues before finally arriving in cinemas on July 23.

Adding to the challenges, a pirated version reportedly surfaced online ahead of its theatrical release. However, the leak appears to have had little effect on audience turnout, with the film maintaining steady collections across multiple markets.

Political Drama Gains Added Relevance

Directed by H. Vinoth, Jana Nayagan is reportedly inspired by the Telugu film Bhagavanth Kesari. The movie features Vijay in the role of a Chief Minister, a character that attracted even greater attention as the actor transitions into his full-time political career.

Produced by KVN Productions, the film was initially expected to release before the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, but despite the revised schedule, it has continued to enjoy strong audience support.

A Memorable Farewell Before Politics

As Thalapathy Vijay prepares to focus entirely on politics, Jana Nayagan is proving to be a fitting farewell to his acting career. Its solid box office performance, especially in the Hindi market, highlights the actor’s pan-India popularity and reinforces the film’s commercial success.
