A new leak suggests Samsung could introduce a Galaxy S27 Pro model alongside the Ultra variant, with both phones featuring powerful 200MP cameras but different telephoto capabilities.
The next generation of Samsung flagship smartphones may bring a major change to the company’s premium lineup. While the Samsung Galaxy S26 series has already expanded the brand’s flagship portfolio, fresh reports suggest that the company could introduce an entirely new model category with the upcoming Galaxy S27 series.
According to a report by ETNews, Samsung is reportedly planning to launch four Galaxy S27 models in 2027, including a rumoured Galaxy S27 Pro that could sit between the standard flagship and the top-end Galaxy S27 Ultra.
The new model is expected to offer premium hardware similar to the Ultra variant while creating a new position in Samsung’s high-end smartphone range.
Galaxy S27 Pro and Ultra Camera Details Leak
The biggest revelation from the latest leak revolves around the camera setup.
Unlike the current Ultra models that feature a quad-camera system, the upcoming Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra are reportedly expected to move towards a triple rear camera configuration.

If accurate, this would mean that all four Galaxy S27 smartphones could arrive with three rear cameras instead of Samsung’s traditional multi-camera flagship approach.
Both the Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra are rumoured to feature:
- 200-megapixel primary camera
- 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera
However, the major difference could come in the telephoto department.
The Galaxy S27 Ultra is expected to include a 50-megapixel telephoto sensor with up to 5x optical zoom, while the Galaxy S27 Pro may feature a 12-megapixel telephoto camera supporting up to 3x optical zoom.

Meanwhile, customers in the United States could receive devices powered by Qualcomm’s unreleased Snapdragon 8 Gen 6 Pro for Galaxy chipset.
This regional chipset strategy has previously been used by Samsung, where some markets receive Exynos-powered models while others get Qualcomm Snapdragon variants.

The introduction of a Galaxy S27 Pro model could represent a significant shift in Samsung’s flagship strategy.
