Rashmika Mandanna Steps Out With Vijay Deverakonda After Hip Surgery; Her First Public Appearance Has Fans Talking
Rashmika Mandanna was seen holding hands with husband Vijay Deverakonda at a Hyderabad engagement, marking her first public outing since a hip injury during the shoot of ‘Mysaa’ forced her to take a break.
Hyderabad: Rashmika Mandanna has made her first public appearance following surgery for a serious hip injury, stepping out alongside her husband, Vijay Deverakonda, at an engagement ceremony in Hyderabad.
The actors attended the engagement of producer Niranjan Reddy’s son, arriving at the venue hand in hand and smiling for the cameras. The appearance attracted attention not only because the couple stepped out together, but also because it marked a visible milestone in Rashmika’s recovery after weeks away from the public eye.
For the celebration, Rashmika opted for an elegant black-and-gold lehenga, paired with an intricately embroidered dupatta. Vijay Deverakonda complemented her in an all-black ensemble. The two appeared relaxed as they posed together before heading inside the venue.
What happened to Rashmika Mandanna?
The appearance comes weeks after Rashmika Mandanna revealed details of the injury that had temporarily put her professional commitments on hold.
The actor suffered a tendon detachment in her right hip while filming a dance sequence for her upcoming movie Mysaa. In an update shared with fans earlier this month, Rashmika said it was her third injury in succession and explained that the affected tendon needed time to heal before she could properly regain movement in her leg.
The injury was particularly significant given the physical demands of Mysaa, a film in which Rashmika is expected to appear in a fierce, action-heavy role.

After undergoing treatment, the actor stepped away from filming and focused on recovery at home. She later gave fans a glimpse into her slower routine, which included spending time with family, reading, doing puzzles and resting.
A welcome sight for fans
While her latest appearance does not necessarily signal an immediate return to shooting, seeing Rashmika out at a public event represents an encouraging development in her recovery.
The actor has yet to resume filming, according to reports, and her recovery remains the priority.

Her appearance alongside Vijay Deverakonda, meanwhile, added another layer of interest for fans of the couple. The two walked into the engagement holding hands, keeping things simple while still becoming one of the most talked-about arrivals at the celebration.
Rashmika’s upcoming films
On the professional front, Rashmika Mandanna continues to have a busy lineup.
She is set to headline Mysaa, directed by Rawindra Pulle, which places her at the centre of an action-driven story. Rashmika is expected to portray a fierce Gond woman, marking a physically demanding departure from several of her earlier roles.
She is also set to share the screen with Vijay Deverakonda in director Rahul Sankrityan’s Ranabaali. The upcoming pan-India film also features Arnold Vosloo and is scheduled for a worldwide release on September 11, 2026.
For now, however, the spotlight remains firmly on Rashmika’s health and recovery. After weeks of rest following an unexpected injury, her smiling return to a public event offered fans an encouraging glimpse of the actor gradually getting back to her routine.
