Rajpal Yadav’s Financial Woes Deepen as Bank Moves to Auction Properties

Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav has reportedly encountered another major legal and financial challenge. Two of his properties in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh, are set to be auctioned by the Central Bank of India as part of recovery proceedings linked to an outstanding loan of over Rs 16.61 crore.

The reported development comes while the actor is also facing legal proceedings in a separate cheque bounce case.

Bank Issues Auction Notice

According to reports, the Central Bank of India has issued auction notices for two mortgaged properties owned by Rajpal Yadav. One property is located in Shahjahanpur city, while the other is situated in a nearby village.

The combined estimated value of these properties is around Rs 3.19 crore, whereas the outstanding loan amount reportedly stands at Rs 16.61 crore.

The online auction has been scheduled for September 9, unless the dues are settled before the bidding process begins.

Loan Linked to Directorial Debut

Reports suggest that Rajpal Yadav had obtained the loan to finance his directorial debut, Aata Pata Lapata.

Following an alleged default in loan repayment, the bank initiated recovery proceedings and took possession of the mortgaged assets under applicable banking regulations.

The properties reportedly include a residential house and agricultural land in Shahjahanpur district, along with another property within the city.

Family Properties Also Pledged

According to reports, properties belonging to the actor’s wife, Radha Yadav, and his mother, Godavari Yadav, were also pledged as collateral for the loan.

Based on these guarantees, the bank has reportedly proceeded with action against the secured assets.

Some reports have further claimed that recovery proceedings involving certain Mumbai properties linked to the actor are also underway. However, no official confirmation regarding those assets has been made public by the bank.
