Ram Charan’s ‘Peddi’ Set For OTT Release Sooner Than Expected? Netflix Date Buzz Sparks Excitement
After smashing the ₹400 crore mark worldwide, Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor starrer Peddi could soon arrive on OTT, with reports hinting at an early July premiere.
Ram Charan’s much-talked-about rural sports action drama Peddi continues its strong run at the box office, even as the buzz around its OTT release grows louder. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the film has now crossed the impressive ₹400 crore gross mark worldwide, cementing its place among the biggest Indian releases of the year.
Despite receiving mixed reviews from critics and audiences, the film has managed to maintain momentum, largely driven by Ram Charan’s star power and the film’s emotional, action-packed narrative.
Now, all eyes are on its digital release.
According to reports from Filmnagar, Peddi is expected to premiere on Netflix after completing its theatrical run. The tentative streaming date is said to be July 2, although some industry insiders suggest that the release may be pushed to July 16. An official confirmation from Netflix or the makers is still awaited.
The film is expected to stream in multiple languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam, aiming to capture a wider pan-India audience on OTT.
Meanwhile, the makers are planning a grand success celebration in Hyderabad to mark the film’s box office journey. The event is likely to take place at Shilpa Kala Vedika on June 23 at 6 PM, where the cast and crew are expected to interact with fans and media.

At the domestic box office, Peddi has entered its third week but has started to slow down on weekdays. According to trade estimates, the film earned ₹83 lakh net in India on Day 19 — a sharp drop from Sunday’s ₹2.82 crore, marking a 70.6 percent dip in collections.

Even with the slowdown, the film’s total India net collection stands at ₹235.10 crore after 19 days, which remains a strong performance.
The sports drama also stars Janhvi Kapoor in a prominent role, while legendary composer A. R. Rahman has delivered the music for the film.
However, Peddi is currently facing fresh competition at the box office from Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s latest release Maa Into Bangaram, which is gaining attention in southern markets.
With OTT anticipation building and theatrical numbers still holding, Peddi looks set to continue dominating headlines in the weeks ahead.
