The next-generation Audi Q3 is set to make its India debut soon with a sharper design, upgraded technology and a petrol-powered Quattro setup.

Audi is preparing to introduce the next-generation Q3 SUV in India, and the German luxury carmaker has already released the first teaser of the upcoming model. The new-generation Q3 is expected to make its India debut within the next few days, marking an important addition to Audi’s SUV portfolio.

The new Q3 represents a significant design change over the outgoing model, with a more aggressive appearance and a host of updates both inside and out.

New Audi Q3 gets a more aggressive design

The biggest changes are visible at the front. The new Audi Q3 features a redesigned face with split headlamps, giving the SUV a more distinctive appearance. The grille is also noticeably larger, while Audi has introduced a new 2D logo as part of its updated design language.

The side profile has been given a more sculpted treatment, while the rear also gets sharper and more modern styling. The SUV is expected to ride on 18-inch alloy wheels, adding to its more premium road presence.

Overall, the new Q3 appears considerably more aggressive than the model it replaces, while retaining the familiar proportions associated with Audi’s compact luxury SUV.

Inside, the Q3 gets a major technology upgrade

The cabin of the new-generation Q3 is also expected to receive a substantial overhaul.

Audi is set to equip the SUV with an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster paired with a large 12.8-inch infotainment display. The dashboard has been redesigned and is accompanied by a new-look steering wheel, giving the interior a more contemporary appearance.

The feature list is expected to be considerably longer than before. Depending on the variant, the new Q3 could offer features such as a 360-degree camera, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, ventilated seats, electrically adjustable seats and a panoramic sunroof.

Another major addition could be Level 2 ADAS, bringing advanced driver-assistance technology to the compact luxury SUV.

Petrol engine with Audi Quattro

Unlike the outgoing model’s broader powertrain positioning, the new Q3 is expected to be offered in India with a petrol-only engine.

Power is expected to come from a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, paired with a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission. The SUV will also retain one of Audi’s biggest strengths in this segment — the Quattro all-wheel-drive system.

The Quattro setup could give the Q3 an advantage over several rivals, particularly for buyers looking for the additional traction and confidence associated with an all-wheel-drive luxury SUV.

Audi Q3 could play a key role in India

The upcoming Q3 will be an important launch for Audi in India. The outgoing Q3 has been a successful model for the German luxury manufacturer and has helped establish a strong presence for the brand in the entry-level luxury SUV segment.

With the new generation bringing a completely refreshed design, a more technology-focused cabin and updated features, Audi will be hoping that the Q3 continues to attract buyers looking to enter the luxury SUV market.

The Q3 is also expected to be among the first products in a new wave of launches from Audi India, with more models anticipated in the coming years. The company is also expected to expand its SUV range further, including the upcoming Q9 flagship SUV.

For now, attention remains firmly on the new Audi Q3, which is expected to make its India debut shortly. More details regarding its variants, pricing and specifications are likely to emerge around the official launch.
