Audi is ready to introduce the third-generation Q3 in India on August 25, 2026, marking a major update for one of the brand’s most accessible luxury SUVs in the country.

Under the bonnet, the India-spec Audi Q3 is expected to retain a familiar formula.

Reports ahead of the debut suggest the SUV will continue with a 2.0-litre TFSI turbo-petrol engine, producing approximately 188 bhp and 320 Nm of torque.

The engine is expected to be paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, along with Audi’s quattro all-wheel-drive system.

Official India-spec powertrain details, however, are still awaited.

Audi Q3 vs BMW X1 and Mercedes-Benz GLA

The new Q3 enters one of the most closely contested areas of India’s premium car market.

Its key rivals include the BMW X1 and Mercedes-Benz GLA, meaning pricing and standard equipment could ultimately prove just as important as the new design.
