‘Not Even Aamir Khan Could Have Done It…’: Mysskin’s Massive Praise for Vijay Sethupathi’s Performance in Train Turns Heads

Director Mysskin has made headlines with his heartfelt praise for Vijay Sethupathi during the grand teaser launch of their upcoming action thriller Train. The filmmaker, known for his unconventional storytelling, described the actor’s performance as one of the finest he has ever witnessed and even suggested that the role was tailor-made for Sethupathi.

Speaking at the event, Mysskin said he could not imagine any other actor stepping into the character. He remarked that even legendary stars such as Kamal Haasan or Aamir Khan would not have been able to deliver the role in the same way because the script naturally belonged to Vijay Sethupathi.

The filmmaker went on to compare the actor to a “massive volcano,” explaining that every time he watches scenes from the film, he is amazed by the intensity and emotional depth Sethupathi brings to the screen.

Mysskin also made it clear that he was not trying to promote the film with exaggerated claims. Instead, he said the audience would ultimately decide whether Train succeeds. Confident about the film’s quality, the director added that if the movie failed to impress viewers, he would accept their criticism without hesitation.

‘A Selfless Performance I Will Never Forget’

The director reserved his biggest compliment for Vijay Sethupathi’s dedication to the role. According to Mysskin, the actor delivered a completely selfless performance, putting the character ahead of his own star image.

He further revealed that although he never had the opportunity to work with legendary international actors like Laurence Olivier or Choi Min-sik, collaborating with Vijay Sethupathi gave him a similarly fulfilling creative experience.

Teaser Promises an Intense Action Thriller

The newly released teaser offers a glimpse into a gripping action-packed story set largely aboard a moving train. Vijay Sethupathi is seen taking on heavily armed personnel during what appears to be a high-stakes hostage rescue mission.

The teaser also introduces key characters played by Shruti Haasan, Narain, and Sampath Raj, hinting at an emotionally charged thriller filled with suspense, action, and drama.

Ensemble Cast and Technical Crew

Apart from Vijay Sethupathi, the film boasts a star-studded ensemble featuring Nassar, Yugi Sethu, K. S. Ravikumar, Kalaiyarasan, Kaniha, Ganesh Venkatraman, Singampuli, Suresh Chandra Menon, Babloo Prithiveeraj, Ajay Ratnam, Vincent Ashokan, and several others.

On the technical front, Mysskin has also composed the film’s music. The cinematography is handled by Fowzia Fathima, while Sri Watson serves as the editor. Mohana Mahendran has taken charge of the film’s production design.

Train is produced by veteran filmmaker Kalaippuli S. Thanu under the V Creations banner.

Although the teaser has generated significant excitement among fans, the makers are yet to announce an official theatrical release date for the film.
