‘If Jantar Mantar is shut, we’ll protest everywhere’: MP students demand Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation over paper leaks
Students across Madhya Pradesh held demonstrations in Bhopal, Indore, and Jabalpur, demanding accountability over alleged exam paper leaks and calling for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
Protests over alleged examination paper leaks continued to spread across the country on Friday, with hundreds of students and young people taking to the streets in Madhya Pradesh to demand accountability from the government and the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
Demonstrations were held in Bhopal, Indore, and Jabalpur, where protesters expressed solidarity with students protesting at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi and raised concerns over repeated irregularities in competitive examinations.
Students gather in Bhopal
A large group of students assembled near the Board Office Square in Bhopal, carrying placards and raising slogans against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led Central Government.
The protesters alleged that examination paper leaks have become a recurring issue in recent years and called for greater accountability.
Speaking during the protest, one participant said:”We have gathered here and demand the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan. NEET is not the only issue. Several examination paper leaks and irregularities, including SSC and CBSE, have surfaced over the last two years.”
The protesters said they wanted stronger measures to ensure transparency and fairness in India’s examination system.
Batman joins protest in Indore
In Indore, another protest attracted attention when one participant arrived dressed as the fictional superhero Batman.

Explaining the costume, the protester said Batman symbolises the fight for justice and hope for change.
The protester alleged that students protesting at Jantar Mantar had faced police action and vowed that demonstrations would continue across the country until their demands were addressed.”If Jantar Mantar is shut, we will protest here. We will stage protests in every corner of the country until the Education Minister resigns.”
The participant also said that young people would continue their movement as long as they believed change was possible.
Jabalpur students join demonstrations
Students in Jabalpur also organised demonstrations, carrying creative placards and demanding accountability over alleged paper leak incidents.
Protesters urged authorities to strengthen the examination process and take strict action against those responsible for any irregularities.
Growing concerns over examination integrity
The protests come amid growing concerns among students regarding the integrity of competitive examinations in India.
Many participants argued that repeated allegations of question paper leaks have affected the confidence of lakhs of aspirants preparing for highly competitive entrance and recruitment examinations.
The demonstrators called for comprehensive reforms to improve transparency, ensure fair examinations and restore trust in the country’s education system.
The Union Government has not issued any fresh response regarding Friday’s demonstrations at the time of publication.
