Kaleen Bhaiya, Munna Bhaiya, Guddu Pandit and Bablu Pandit return in new Mirzapur: The Movie character posters ahead of the August 11 trailer launch.

The Mirzapur universe is getting ready for its biggest transformation yet from streaming screens to cinemas.

Ahead of the highly anticipated trailer launch, the makers of Mirzapur: The Movie have unveiled four new character posters featuring some of the franchise’s most recognisable faces: Kaleen Bhaiya, Munna Bhaiya, Guddu Pandit and Bablu Pandit.

The posters have arrived just days before the trailer, which is scheduled to be released on August 11, 2026.

With the film set to bring the violent and politically charged world of Mirzapur to theatres for the first time, the new posters are already giving fans a glimpse of the characters they have followed through the series.

Kaleen Bhaiya, Munna, Guddu and Bablu are back

The new posters put four of the franchise’s most popular characters front and centre.

Pankaj Tripathi returns as the formidable Kaleen Bhaiya, while Divyenndu reprises his fan-favourite role as Munna Bhaiya.

Ali Fazal is back as Guddu Pandit, while Vikrant Massey returns as Bablu Pandit.

The return of these characters is particularly significant for fans who have followed the original series and its shifting alliances, rivalries and power struggles.

The posters arrive at a crucial moment, with the trailer expected to reveal just how the characters’ stories have evolved for the big screen.

Trailer arrives on August 11

The countdown has officially entered its final stage.

The Mirzapur: The Movie trailer will be released on August 11, giving audiences their first substantial look at the film’s scale, conflicts and cinematic treatment.

The timing is significant because this will be the first time viewers get to see the Mirzapur universe designed specifically for the theatrical experience.

The film is expected to retain the franchise’s familiar mix of crime, revenge, politics and personal rivalries while expanding the world for the big screen.

A massive ensemble cast

Alongside the returning central characters, the movie features an extensive ensemble cast.

The lineup includes Ravi Kishan, Abhishek Banerjee, Rasika Dugal, Mohit Maalik, Sheeba Chadha, Rajesh Tailang, Pramod Pathak, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Harshita Shekhar Gaur, Shweta Tripathi, Sonal S. Chauhan, Anangsha Biswas, Shaji Chaudhary, Satendra Soni, Kulbhushan Kharbanda and Sushant Singh in pivotal roles.

The sheer number of familiar faces suggests that the film is attempting to retain the ensemble-driven identity that made the series popular.

Exactly how these characters fit into the new story, however, remains under wraps.

From OTT phenomenon to theatrical event

The move to cinemas represents a major step for the Mirzapur franchise.

The series established a passionate following through streaming, with its characters and dialogues becoming deeply embedded in Indian pop culture.

Now, Mirzapur: The Movie is attempting to translate that popularity into a theatrical experience.

The project is backed by Amazon MGM Studios and Excel Entertainment, with Gurmmeet Singh directing and Puneet Krishna serving as writer.

Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar are producing under the Excel Entertainment banner, alongside co-producers Kassim Jagmagia and Vishal Ramchandani.

When will Mirzapur: The Movie release?

The wait will end in cinemas on September 4, 2026.

The film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release and will be available in Hindi and Telugu.

With the trailer arriving on August 11, the next few days are likely to reveal considerably more about the story and the new conflicts awaiting Guddu, Kaleen Bhaiya, Munna and the rest of the Mirzapur universe.

For fans, however, the four posters have already delivered the message they were waiting for:

The old players are back — and this time, the fight is coming to the big screen.
