According to sources close to the development, the Bollywood icon has been chosen to host Kon Honaar Crorepati, the Marathi adaptation of the hugely popular quiz-based reality show Kaun Banega Crorepati.

If confirmed, this will mark Madhuri Dixit’s first association with the KBC franchise as a host, bringing her charm and screen presence to Marathi television audiences.

Official promo expected during KBC Season 18 premiere

Sources suggest that the promotional shoot introducing Madhuri Dixit has already been completed. The first official promo is expected to be unveiled during the premiere of Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 18, hosted by Amitabh Bachchan, on August 10.

The channel recently fuelled excitement by releasing a mysterious promotional video that hinted at the identity of the new host without revealing the name.

In the teaser, celebrities including Abhijeet Sawant, Bharat Jadhav, and Renuka Shahane were shown reacting after seeing the host’s name on a placard. While viewers were never shown the name, the celebrities playfully recreated Madhuri Dixit’s signature “Dhak Dhak” dance move and her famous “Aaha!” expression from the blockbuster film Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!

The clever hints led many fans to correctly guess that Madhuri would be taking over the hosting duties.

A new chapter for Kon Honaar Crorepati

This will be Madhuri’s debut as the host of Kon Honaar Crorepati, a show previously fronted by Sachin Khedekar, Swapnil Joshi, and filmmaker Nagraj Manjule.

The actress has previously worked in Marathi cinema with Bucket List (2018), which marked her debut in the Marathi film industry.
