‘God of War’ Incoming? Naga Vamsi’s big hint sends Jr NTR fans Into frenzy over Trivikram’s mythological epic
A mysterious teaser from producer Naga Vamsi has reignited buzz around Jr NTR’s rumoured role as Lord Murugan in what could be Trivikram Srinivas’ most ambitious film yet.
The excitement in Telugu cinema has hit a new high after producer Suryadevara Naga Vamsi dropped a cryptic teaser about a “massive reveal,” sending Jr NTR fans into a frenzy.
While the producer kept details under wraps, social media was instantly flooded with speculation that the long-rumoured collaboration between Jr NTR and filmmaker Trivikram Srinivas might finally be taking shape and it could be bigger than anyone expected.
For months, industry insiders have been buzzing about an ambitious mythological epic being planned by the duo. Naga Vamsi’s latest statement has only added more fuel to the fire.
In his teaser, the producer wrote, “The time has come to unleash the unparalleled power of Trivikram Srinivas’ pen to the world on the grandest canvas of his career a canvas without boundaries, without limitations. His most ambitious vision begins unfolding in just a few hours.”
That single statement was enough to send fans into overdrive.
What’s making the speculation even stronger is the reported registration of the title ‘Shanmukhudu’ by Naga Vamsi’s production house. The title holds major significance, as Shanmukhudu is another revered name for Lord Murugan, one of Hindu mythology’s most powerful deities.
According to industry reports, Jr NTR is being considered to portray Lord Murugan in the project. If true, it would mark one of the grandest mythological roles of his career and possibly one of the most expensive mythological films in recent Telugu cinema history.
Though no official confirmation has been made regarding the storyline or NTR’s role, the possibility itself has sparked massive anticipation.
This would also reunite Jr NTR and Trivikram Srinivas after their successful collaboration on Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava, a film praised for blending intense emotion with commercial appeal.

But this time, insiders suggest Trivikram is aiming for something far more ambitious a visually rich mythological spectacle that merges ancient Indian lore with cutting-edge cinematic technology.

At present, both stars are tied up with their ongoing commitments. Trivikram is occupied with Venkatesh Daggubati’s upcoming film, while Jr NTR is currently shooting for Prashanth Neel’s much-awaited action entertainer Dragon.
Reports suggest the mythological project could begin once both films are wrapped up.
Interestingly, mythological roles are not unfamiliar territory for Jr NTR. As a child actor, he portrayed Lord Rama in Bala Ramayanam, and later impressed audiences as Lord Yama in Yamadonga. But if this new project materialises, it could easily become the biggest mythological chapter of his career.
For now, fans are glued to Naga Vamsi’s promised announcement, waiting to see whether the rumours are finally about to become reality.
Until then, the mystery remains but the hype is very real.
