A resurfaced IPL video of Jofra Archer has gone viral after the England pacer dismissed Rajasthan Royals teammate Vaibhav Sooryavanshi twice in the T20I series.

A resurfaced Jofra Archer video has become one of the biggest talking points ahead of the fifth T20I between India and England, with fans wondering whether the England pacer benefited from his Indian Premier League (IPL) experience alongside teenage batter Vaibhav Sooryavanshi.

The 15-year-old opener, who earned widespread praise after his explosive performances in the IPL and Under-19 cricket, has found life much tougher in international cricket, particularly against Archer.

Old IPL Video Resurfaces

The viral clip dates back to the IPL season when both Archer and Sooryavanshi represented Rajasthan Royals.

During an interview, Archer was asked how he planned to bowl to the young batter during practice sessions. Smiling, the England fast bowler avoided revealing his strategy and simply replied:”I’ll tell you that after the IPL ends.”

At the time, the response appeared light-hearted. However, after dismissing Sooryavanshi twice in the ongoing T20I series, many fans have revisited the clip, speculating that Archer may have gained valuable insights while sharing the dressing room with the youngster.

There is no official evidence that Archer’s IPL experience directly influenced the dismissals, but the coincidence has generated plenty of discussion on social media.

Archer Dominates the Young Opener

Sooryavanshi made history by becoming the youngest player to debut for India in T20Is when he featured in the second match of the series.

However, his first international assignment has proved challenging.

Archer has dismissed the youngster in two of the three matches he has played, with both wickets coming through aggressive short-pitched bowling. The left-handed batter managed scores of 13 and 15 in those innings before falling to the England speedster.

Despite the setbacks, cricket experts believe the teenager possesses immense potential and will learn from the experience.

Former England all-rounder Moeen Ali praised Archer’s tactical bowling but also expressed confidence in Sooryavanshi’s long-term future.

According to Moeen, the youngster has already shown he can dominate short-pitched bowling and should not be judged solely on a few early dismissals.

He suggested that the real concern for India lies with the rest of the batting lineup, which has struggled to provide consistent support during the series.

Final T20I Offers Fresh Opportunity

India will now look to avoid a series whitewash when they take on England in the fifth and final T20I at Southampton.

For Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, the match presents another opportunity to silence critics and demonstrate why he is regarded as one of Indian cricket’s brightest young talents.

Whether the viral IPL clip was merely a coincidence or an example of Archer using knowledge gained during franchise cricket, it has undoubtedly added another fascinating subplot to an already memorable series.
