‘Frankenstein State’: India’s Explosive UN Attack on Pakistan Over Terror, Kashmir and Human Rights

India launched a fierce diplomatic attack on Pakistan at the United Nations, calling it a “Frankenstein state” that is now shocked when the monster it created turns against it.

The strong remarks came after Pakistan once again raised the issue of Jammu and Kashmir during an interactive dialogue on the UN High Commissioner’s annual report, prompting India to exercise its right of reply.

Representing India, Anupama Singh, First Secretary at India’s Permanent Mission to the UN, delivered a blunt and strongly worded response that put Islamabad on the defensive.

‘Jammu and Kashmir Is an Integral Part of India’

Reaffirming India’s long-standing position, Singh made it clear that Jammu and Kashmir remains an inseparable part of the country.

She stated that there is no dispute over Kashmir from India’s side and emphasized that the only unresolved matter is Pakistan’s illegal occupation of parts of Indian territory.

Her remarks reinforced New Delhi’s consistent stand that any conversation on Kashmir must begin with Pakistan vacating the territories it occupies.

Sharp Criticism Over Terror Support

India also accused Pakistan of continuing to shelter, train and support terrorists — an issue New Delhi has repeatedly raised on global platforms.

Using the phrase “Frankenstein state”, Singh said Pakistan should not be surprised when the very forces it created begin to destabilize its own system.

The remark was seen as one of India’s strongest verbal attacks at the UN in recent months.

Rawalakot Violence and Human Rights in PoK Raised

India used the opportunity to highlight the situation in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), particularly recent unrest in Rawalakot.

Singh alleged that hundreds of civilians have been killed and that brutal crackdowns are taking place against ordinary people demanding basic necessities like food, electricity and fundamental rights.

She said decades of military control, land seizures, demographic changes and suppression of freedoms have pushed the region into crisis.

According to India, the violence in PoK is not unexpected but a direct result of what it called an illegal and forceful occupation.

Indus Water Treaty Mentioned

India also touched upon the Indus Water Treaty, making it clear that a nation accused of sponsoring terrorism cannot expect goodwill in return.

The statement comes amid increasing tensions between the two countries over water-sharing concerns and cross-border security issues.
