Honda QC3 Launched at ₹1.35 Lakh With 145km Range, 32-Litre Storage; Here’s What You Get…

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has strengthened its electric two-wheeler portfolio with the launch of the new Honda QC3 in India. Positioned as a practical family electric scooter, the QC3 has been priced at ₹1.35 lakh (ex-showroom) and sits alongside the QC1 and Activa e: in Honda’s growing EV range.

The QC3 is aimed primarily at everyday urban riders, but Honda has given it one specification that immediately grabs attention a claimed IDC riding range of 145km from its fixed battery.

At launch, availability will be limited to select Honda RedWing dealerships across Delhi, Agra, Cuttack, Surat and Kollam, before the company gradually expands the scooter’s presence to more cities.

3kWh Battery With 145km Claimed Range

At the heart of the Honda QC3 is a fixed 3kWh lithium-ion battery pack paired with a hub-mounted electric motor.

Honda claims an IDC range of 145km, making the QC3 its longest-range electric scooter in India based on the currently quoted specifications.

Charging has also been designed around everyday home use. According to Honda, the battery can be charged from 0 to 80 percent in around 2 hours and 40 minutes, while a complete charge takes approximately four hours.

Honda has yet to disclose the electric motor’s detailed power and torque figures. The scooter does, however, receive a front disc brake.

32-Litre Storage Makes It More Family-Friendly

Practicality is another area where the QC3 attempts to distinguish itself.

The electric scooter provides 32 litres of under-seat storage, substantially more than the 26-litre capacity of the QC1. The extra space should prove useful for buyers planning to use the scooter for commuting, shopping and other everyday family duties.

Honda’s own information describes the 32-litre compartment as the largest under-seat storage space offered across its electric scooter lineup.

5-Inch TFT, Navigation and Honda RoadSync

The QC3 isn’t relying on range alone. It features a 5-inch TFT instrument cluster with connected functionality, giving the rider access to Honda RoadSync and turn-by-turn navigation.

A Smart Key system is also part of the package, adding another layer of convenience for daily riders.

Together, the connected display, navigation, storage and longer claimed range make the QC3 a more feature-rich proposition than the entry-level QC1.

Honda QC3 Colour Options

Buyers will have four colours to choose from:

Matt Photon Grey Metallic, Pearl Precious White, Pearl Shallow Blue and Pearl Siren Blue.

Honda’s approach appears to be keeping the QC3’s design family-oriented while giving customers enough colour choices to make the scooter feel less utilitarian.

How Does QC3 Compare With Honda’s Other EVs?

The launch means Honda now has three electric scooters in its Indian portfolio.

The Honda QC1 uses a smaller 1.5kWh fixed battery and delivers a claimed 80km range. The Activa e: takes a different approach, using two swappable 1.5kWh batteries with a combined capacity of 3kWh and a claimed range of 102km.

The new QC3, with its 3kWh fixed battery and 145km claimed IDC range, therefore provides considerably more quoted range than either of Honda’s existing electric scooters.

Honda QC3 Rivals

At ₹1.35 lakh, the Honda QC3 enters one of India’s increasingly competitive electric scooter segments.

Its key rivals include the TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak, Ather Rizta and electric scooters from Vida.

Rather than focusing purely on performance, Honda appears to be targeting customers who prioritise range, storage, connectivity and everyday usability.

Bookings and Availability

Bookings for the Honda QC3 have opened for ₹5,000, with customers able to reserve the electric scooter through Honda’s channels and select RedWing dealerships.

The initial rollout covers Delhi, Agra, Cuttack, Surat and Kollam, with availability expected to expand to additional markets in phases.

With a 145km claimed range, 32-litre storage compartment, connected 5-inch TFT display and ₹1.35 lakh price tag, the QC3 gives Honda a more substantial offering in India’s rapidly evolving electric scooter market.

The real test, however, will begin once deliveries start and riders get to see how closely its 145km claimed IDC figure translates into everyday real-world range.
