Megastar Chiranjeevi has dropped an intriguing new detail about his much-awaited film Kaaka, revealing the full name of his character ahead of the movie’s planned Sankranti release.

During a recent event, Chiranjeevi revealed that his character in the Bobby Kolli directorial is named Kadiri Kalidas, according to an IANS report.

The revelation has attracted attention because the film’s first glimpse appeared to introduce the veteran actor under a different name K. Sathyam.

Kadiri Kalidas or K. Sathyam?

The first glimpse of Kaaka, unveiled on Chiranjeevi’s birthday, showed his character working as a supervisor at Ammaji Aqua Industries under the name K. Sathyam.

Now, with Chiranjeevi himself revealing the name Kadiri Kalidas, questions naturally arise about the connection between the two identities.

Whether K. Sathyam is an alias used by Kalidas, part of his past, or simply a detail whose significance will be explained later in the story remains unknown. The makers have not yet publicly explained the apparent difference.

That mystery could become an important part of the character’s journey, especially as reports describe Kaaka as an intense action entertainer with a strong emotional and family-oriented core.

‘Kaaka’ glimpse hides weapons beneath an ordinary life

The teaser begins in an apparently ordinary setting, showing workers from different parts of the country employed at a shrimp farm.

Things take an unexpected turn when an employee accidentally drops a key into a pool filled with shrimp. Chiranjeevi’s character steps in and uses a giant electromagnet to retrieve it.

But the magnet pulls up much more than the missing key.

Several weapons emerge from the water along with it, instantly changing the tone of the sequence and suggesting that the seemingly ordinary supervisor may be hiding a far more dangerous past.

Adding an emotional touch to the scene, the recovered keychain bears the words “I love dad”, hinting that the father-child relationship could have an important role in the story.

The makers recently shared a behind-the-scenes picture from the film’s sets and indicated that production remains on track for its previously announced release schedule.

They also confirmed that the first single from Kaaka will be released soon, giving fans their next major look at the film.

Alongside Chiranjeevi, the movie features Anaswara Rajan, Nivetha Pethuraj, Sunil, Getup Srinu and Kannada actor Rachita Ram in important roles.
