Akhilesh Yadav to step down as SP Chief? BJP Minister’s claim sparks political storm in UP

A fresh political controversy has erupted in Uttar Pradesh after state cabinet minister and senior BJP leader Om Prakash Rajbhar made a series of explosive claims about the internal situation within the Samajwadi Party.

Rajbhar alleged that Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav could step down from his position as party president and suggested that several party leaders were already in contact with the BJP.

Speaking to reporters, Rajbhar claimed that dissatisfaction was growing within the Samajwadi Party following what he described as recent political setbacks and organisational challenges.

According to him, a section of SP leaders is unhappy with the current direction of the party and its leadership. He further alleged that some party functionaries are maintaining communication with the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party, hinting at possible political realignments in the future.

However, Rajbhar did not provide any evidence to support his claims.

He also suggested that Akhilesh Yadav may eventually step down as party president, though he stopped short of offering any timeline or concrete details.
