“The only thing that’s changed is I’m more comfortable,” Abhishek said, reflecting on his growth. He admitted that when he first started, there was a sense of discomfort in front of the camera.
“Now, I’m more comfortable being in front of the camera. When you’re comfortable in your own skin, it gives you clarity on the decisions you need to take,” he added.
Early Career Pressures
The actor also shared how uncertainty played a big role during his initial years in the industry. Like many newcomers, he struggled with the fear of whether opportunities would continue to come his way.
“Initially, there’s excitement, but also insecurity — ‘kaam milega, nahin milega’. Whatever comes your way, you do,” he revealed.

This phase, he explained, often leads actors to accept roles without much hesitation, driven by the need to stay relevant and visible.

However, with time and experience, Abhishek says he has developed a clearer sense of direction. Over the past few years, he has become more selective about his work.
“I’m very clear today… of what I don’t want to do,” he said, emphasizing how maturity has helped him make better choices in his career.
