Kalki Koechlin sells her Andheri West apartment for ₹2.55 crore, highlighting steady growth in Mumbai real estate.

In yet another high-profile real estate transaction from Bollywood, Kalki Koechlin has sold her apartment in Andheri West for ₹2.55 crore, reflecting a steady appreciation in one of Mumbai’s most sought-after residential hubs.

According to property registration documents reviewed by Square Yards, the apartment is located in Varsova Kiran Co-operative Housing Society Ltd and spans a carpet area of 1,230 sq ft.

A Decade-Long Investment Pays Off

Koechlin had originally purchased the property in December 2015 for ₹1.95 crore. With the latest sale at ₹2.55 crore, the actor has recorded a profit of approximately ₹60 lakh.

This translates to an estimated 31% return over nearly 10 years — a figure that reflects moderate but stable capital appreciation in Mumbai’s real estate market.

The buyer of the property has been identified as Yuvraj Ahuja, while the transaction was officially registered on April 21, 2026.

Documents reveal that the deal involved:

  • ₹16.08 lakh in stamp duty
  • ₹30,000 in registration charges

Neither the actor nor the buyer has publicly commented on the transaction.

Bollywood’s Ongoing Real Estate Activity

Koechlin’s deal comes amid a series of high-value transactions involving Bollywood personalities.

Recently, Kriti Sanon, along with her sister Nupur Sanon and mother Geeta Sanon, sold four apartments in Andheri West for a combined ₹8.9 crore.

The buyer in that case was filmmaker and casting director Mukesh Chhabra.

Interestingly, the Sanon family’s investment yielded a significantly higher return — an estimated 107% gain over 9–13 years — showcasing how timing and property selection can impact returns in Mumbai’s competitive real estate market.

Why Andheri West Remains a Real Estate Hotspot

“Location is everything in real estate,” and Andheri West continues to prove that.

As per industry insights, the locality stands out for:

  • Proximity to entertainment hubs and film studios
  • A thriving commercial ecosystem
  • Strong connectivity via metro and road networks
  • A vibrant urban lifestyle with premium amenities

These factors have consistently made Andheri West one of Mumbai’s most desirable residential destinations, attracting both investors and celebrities alike.

What This Deal Signals

Kalki Koechlin’s transaction may not be the highest gain story, but it reflects something equally important — market stability.

In a city like Mumbai, where property prices are among the highest in India, even a 31% return over a decade highlights the long-term reliability of real estate as an asset class.

As Bollywood continues to invest and divest in premium properties, Andheri West remains firmly on the map as a preferred choice for both lifestyle and investment.
