Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh: Bollywood actress Yami Gautam and filmmaker Aditya Dhar recently embarked on a spiritual journey to the famous Shri Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga Temple in Ujjain, one of the holiest shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva in India.

The couple was accompanied by several family members, making the visit a meaningful family pilgrimage. Joining them were Yami’s brother Ojas Gautam, along with both sides of the family, as they offered prayers and sought blessings at the revered temple.

For Yami, the visit carried special emotional significance. The actress revealed that although she had previously travelled to Ujjain during the shooting of ‘Oh My God 2’, she could not visit the temple at that time. This recent trip finally allowed her to fulfill a wish she had been carrying for years.

Speaking about the experience, Yami shared that spiritual journeys often happen when the time is right.

“When Baba’s call comes, how can one not come?” she said, expressing gratitude for being able to visit the sacred shrine with her loved ones.

Yami also praised the efforts of the Mahakaleshwar Temple administration, acknowledging the cleanliness, security arrangements, and efficient management of the large number of devotees who visit the shrine every day.

The visit once again highlighted the couple’s strong connection to spirituality and family values. Since their marriage in June 2021, Yami and Aditya have frequently spoken about the importance of faith and personal grounding despite their demanding professional lives.

Their relationship first blossomed during the making of the blockbuster film ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’, directed by Aditya Dhar. The couple later tied the knot in an intimate ceremony and welcomed their son Vedavid in May 2024, marking a new chapter in their lives.

On the professional front, Yami Gautam was recently seen in a special appearance in ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’, while Aditya Dhar continues to enjoy tremendous success as a filmmaker. His action franchise ‘Dhurandhar’ and its sequel have emerged as major box-office successes, collectively earning over ₹3,000 crore worldwide, according to industry reports.

As the couple balances family life and flourishing careers, their visit to Mahakaleshwar Temple serves as a reminder of the role faith continues to play in their personal journey.
