Yamaha India has officially reintroduced the Monster Energy MotoGP Editions of the R15 V4 and MT-15 Version 2.0, giving enthusiasts another chance to own motorcycles inspired by the brand’s premier racing heritage.
The special editions return after strong customer demand, while Yamaha has simultaneously refreshed its popular FZ range with new colour options for the 2026 model year.
The latest updates are largely cosmetic, with the motorcycles retaining their proven mechanical packages.
MotoGP Editions receive exclusive racing graphics
The standout feature of the MotoGP Editions is the exclusive Monster Energy MotoGP-inspired livery, which enhances the sporty appeal of both motorcycles.
The racing graphics are applied across:
- Fuel tank
- Tank shrouds
- Side panels
These cosmetic enhancements mirror Yamaha’s factory MotoGP race bikes, making the motorcycles more appealing to fans of the Japanese manufacturer’s motorsport legacy.
Yamaha R15 V4 MotoGP Edition: Engine and features
The Yamaha R15 V4 MotoGP Edition continues with its familiar 155cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine, producing:
- 18.1 bhp
- 14.2 Nm of torque
The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox and comes equipped with several premium features, including:
- Variable Valve Actuation (VVA)
- Slip-and-assist clutch
- Upside-down (USD) front forks
- Traction Control System
- Dual-channel ABS
- Quickshifter (available on select variants)
No mechanical changes have been made to the motorcycle.
MT-15 Version 2.0 MotoGP Edition retains sporty performance
The MT-15 Version 2.0 MotoGP Edition also continues with the same 155cc liquid-cooled engine, delivering identical performance figures:

The naked streetfighter features:
