Ranveer Singh is riding high on the global success of Dhurandhar, but his latest statement about the blockbuster has stirred fresh conversation online.

As the film gears up for its Japan release on July 10, Ranveer recorded a special video message for Japanese audiences, introducing them to the franchise and making a bold declaration.

Calling director Aditya Dhar’s film the “biggest Indian movie of all time,” Ranveer urged fans in Japan to experience it on the big screen.

“A warm hello to everyone in Japan. Dhurandhar will be releasing in Japan, bringing with it an immersive cinematic experience packed with drama, intensity, scale, emotion and storytelling at its thrilling best. I warmly invite you to come and experience the biggest Indian movie of all time,” Ranveer said in his message.

Originally released in India in December last year, Dhurandhar turned into a box office phenomenon, grossing over Rs 1,307 crore worldwide and becoming one of the highest-grossing Indian films in recent years.

The ensemble cast featured heavyweights like Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Rakesh Bedi, and Sara Arjun.

Its sequel, Dhurandhar 2, released earlier this year and took the franchise to even greater heights, reportedly earning a staggering Rs 1,800 crore worldwide.

But while the Dhurandhar universe continues expanding internationally, Ranveer’s personal headlines back home have taken a dramatic turn.

The actor has been at the centre of a major controversy surrounding his exit from Don 3.

Multiple reports claim Ranveer walked away from the much-awaited action thriller due to creative differences, repeated production delays, and concerns over the absence of a finalized script.

What initially seemed like a routine casting reshuffle quickly escalated into a legal dispute.

Producer Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment reportedly sought Rs 45 crore in compensation, while the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) even issued a temporary non-cooperation directive against the actor — though it was later revoked.

According to fresh reports, one of the most intense moments during the discussions came when Sidhwani allegedly asked Ranveer whether he would have exited Don 3 if Dhurandhar had not become a blockbuster.

The reported reply? A blunt no.

That revelation has only added more fuel to the debate over whether Ranveer’s box office dominance gave him the confidence to walk away from one of Bollywood’s biggest franchises.

For now, with Dhurandhar heading overseas and Don 3 still clouded in uncertainty, Ranveer Singh remains at the centre of both blockbuster success and industry controversy.
