Oppo K14 Plus launching in India on September 29 with massive 8,000mAh battery: Expected price, specs and everything we know

Oppo is preparing to strengthen its K-series portfolio in India with the launch of the new Oppo K14 Plus. The smartphone is scheduled to make its debut on September 29, and ahead of the launch, the company has already revealed several major specifications including a notably large 8,000mAh battery.

Expected to sit above the Oppo K14 in the lineup, the upcoming handset is being positioned around performance, durability and long battery life. Oppo says the device has been designed to offer “powerful performance, an elevated everyday experience and lasting reliability.”

But how much will all that hardware cost? Oppo has yet to reveal the official India pricing. Current estimates suggest that the Oppo K14 Plus could start somewhere between Rs 28,999 and Rs 30,000 for the base variant. Since the company has not confirmed these figures, buyers will have to wait until launch day for the final price.

144Hz AMOLED display takes centre stage

On the front, the Oppo K14 Plus is confirmed to feature a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a fast 144Hz refresh rate.

The panel will offer a pixel density of 450 PPI and peak brightness of up to 3,600 nits, specifications that should make the screen one of the phone’s key attractions, particularly for gaming, video streaming and outdoor use.

Dimensity 7360 Max and up to 256GB storage

Powering the smartphone will be the MediaTek Dimensity 7360 Max processor. The chipset will be paired with up to 8GB RAM and as much as 256GB of internal storage.

The handset will run ColorOS 16, bringing Oppo’s latest software experience to the device.

Another major highlight is durability. The Oppo K14 Plus is confirmed to carry an IP69K rating for resistance against water and dust, adding another layer of protection for everyday use.

8,000mAh battery could be its biggest talking point

While high-refresh-rate displays and powerful processors have become increasingly common, Oppo is putting a particularly large battery inside its latest K-series smartphone.

The Oppo K14 Plus will pack an 8,000mAh battery, accompanied by 45W fast charging support. The unusually high battery capacity could make the handset particularly appealing to users who prioritise endurance for gaming, streaming and heavy daily usage.

Actual battery life, however, will depend on usage patterns and software optimisation and will become clearer after the phone reaches reviewers and consumers.

50MP OIS camera confirmed

For photography, the Oppo K14 Plus will feature a dual-camera arrangement at the rear. Its primary sensor will be a 50MP camera with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS), accompanied by a 2MP bokeh sensor.

On the front, Oppo has confirmed a 16MP selfie camera for selfies and video calls.

Two colours confirmed for India

Oppo has also revealed the design and colour choices ahead of launch. The K14 Plus will be offered in Star White and Solar Orange finishes.

With its combination of a 144Hz AMOLED screen, Dimensity 7360 Max chipset, 8,000mAh battery, 50MP OIS camera and IP69K rating, the Oppo K14 Plus appears to be targeting buyers looking for a performance-focused smartphone around the Rs 30,000 segment.

The remaining big question is the official price. That should finally be answered when Oppo launches the K14 Plus in India on September 29.
