Mivi One 5G Launched as Brand’s First Smartphone: 6,000mAh Battery, Android 16 and a Flipkart Sale Date That Could Turn Heads

Mivi, a name Indian consumers largely associate with earbuds, speakers and audio accessories, is making a significant leap beyond its familiar territory. The homegrown electronics brand has officially entered the Indian smartphone market with the launch of its first handset, the Mivi One 5G.

The debut device appears aimed squarely at value-conscious buyers, with 5G connectivity, a large 6,000mAh battery, a 50MP primary camera and what the company describes as a clean Pure Android 16 experience.

The Mivi One 5G will go on sale through Flipkart from October 8 at midnight. Buyers will be able to choose from Blue, Pink, Green, Burgundy and Navy Blue colour options.

Mivi One 5G gets Snapdragon 4 Gen 2

At the heart of the smartphone is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 5G Mobile Platform, manufactured using a 4nm process. Mivi claims that the handset can achieve an AnTuTu benchmark score of around 490,000.

The phone will be offered with 4GB, 6GB and 8GB RAM options, while all configurations come with 128GB of internal storage.

One of its biggest talking points is the 6,000mAh battery, which should appeal to buyers prioritising endurance. The battery supports 18W PD 2.0 charging.

50MP camera and 90Hz display

For photography, the Mivi One 5G carries a 50MP primary rear camera with PDAF, accompanied by a secondary rear sensor. An 8MP front-facing camera handles selfies and video calls.

On the front is a 6.745-inch HD+ In-Cell display offering a 90Hz refresh rate, 2.5D cover glass and a traditional waterdrop-style notch.

The handset measures 9.15mm in thickness and weighs 210 grams. It also comes with an IP64 rating, providing protection against dust and splashes.

ClearTalk takes Mivi’s audio expertise to smartphones

Mivi is also bringing some of its audio experience into its first phone through ClearTalk technology.

Powered by the company’s Mivi Neural Voice Engine, the feature is designed to separate the user’s voice from distracting sounds such as traffic, wind, conversations and background music during calls.

Pure Android 16 with updates promised through Android 18

Software could become another important selling point for the Mivi One 5G. The smartphone ships with Pure Android 16, with Mivi emphasising an experience free from unnecessary bloatware.

More importantly for buyers planning to keep their phone for several years, the company says the device will receive guaranteed software updates through Android 18.

Jio users get additional bundled benefits

Mivi is sweetening the package with a collection of additional benefits for eligible Jio customers.

These include a 12-month Canva Pro subscription, one month of Hotstar Mobile + Hollywood, an 18-month Google Gemini Pro plan bundled with 5,000GB of Google Cloud storage, and an additional 50GB of Jio AI Cloud storage.

Customers should check the applicable terms and eligibility requirements for these bundled offers before purchasing.

After-sales support becomes a key part of Mivi’s smartphone bet

Entering India’s smartphone market requires more than competitive specifications, and Mivi is attempting to address the after-sales question from day one.

The Mivi One 5G comes with a one-year warranty, while the company says customers will have access to more than 500 service centres. Mivi is also promising free pick-up and drop-off across over 19,000 PIN codes, along with a seven-day replacement policy and support through the Mivi Care+ app.

Mivi begins a new chapter with Made-in-India smartphone

Perhaps the bigger story is not simply the specifications of the Mivi One 5G, but what the device represents for the company.

The smartphone is manufactured in India and marks Mivi’s first expansion into the handset category. The company says it intends to develop deeper capabilities in smartphone design, engineering and manufacturing within the country.
