“Vaisa Nahi Ho, Aap Thoda Sa Badal Gaye Ho…”: Kharge’s Remark to PM Modi Sparks Smiles at Supriya Sule’s Daughter’s Reception

At the wedding reception of Revati Sule, daughter of NCP (SP) MP Supriya Sule, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was seen sharing a warm and lighthearted moment with senior Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Mallikarjun Kharge.

A video from the high-profile gathering quickly caught attention on social media, showing political rivals exchanging smiles, greetings and even a playful joke.

PM Modi asks Priyanka Gandhi, “Kaisi hai aap?”

In the video, PM Narendra Modi can be seen greeting Rahul Gandhi before turning towards Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.

Modi asked her, “Aur Priyanka, kaisi hai aap?”

Priyanka responded politely, “Acchi hoon. Aap kaise hain?”

The Prime Minister replied with a casual, “Main vaisa hi hoon.”

That was when Mallikarjun Kharge, who was standing nearby, joined the conversation with a humorous observation.

Kharge’s “aap thoda sa badal gaye ho” comment

Kharge told the Prime Minister, “Vaisa nahi ho, aap thoda sa badal gaye ho,” suggesting that Modi had changed a little.

The comment appeared to catch the Prime Minister by surprise, with Modi responding, “Accha?”

The exchange then turned even more cordial as Modi placed a hand on Kharge’s shoulder. The two leaders shared a brief laugh, while Rahul Gandhi was also seen smiling.

The short interaction stood out because of the political differences between the leaders, offering an unusually relaxed glimpse of their personal interaction away from Parliament and political campaigns.

Why were Modi, Rahul Gandhi and Kharge together?

The leaders had gathered for the wedding reception of Revati Sule, daughter of Supriya Sule, at the Delhi residence of NCP (SP) chief Sharad Pawar.

The reception was held at Pawar’s residence at 6 Janpath and marked the couple’s formal reception in the national capital.

Revati Sule had married Sarang Lakhani, an industrialist from Nagpur. The couple had earlier tied the knot in Mumbai in June, with the Delhi event serving as their reception.

The reception brought together several prominent figures from across India’s political spectrum.

Among those attending were Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Sharad Pawar, Sonia Gandhi, Hardeep Singh Puri, Chirag Paswan and Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.

Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, Delhi minister Pravesh Verma and Indian Olympic Association president PT Usha were also among the notable guests.

The gathering provided a rare setting in which leaders who frequently find themselves on opposing sides of political battles were able to meet in a more personal and informal atmosphere.

The exchange between Modi and Kharge was particularly notable because both leaders have frequently clashed over major political issues.

Yet at the reception, the interaction was markedly different. A simple joke about Modi having “changed” quickly turned into a shared laugh, with Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi also part of the warm moment.

While a wedding reception is naturally a personal occasion rather than a political platform, such moments often attract attention because they reveal a different side of public figures accustomed to being seen through the lens of political rivalry.
