The excitement surrounding Jr NTR and director Prashanth Neel’s upcoming action spectacle Dragon continues to grow with every new update. The latest reports suggest that the team is currently filming one of the film’s biggest action sequences on a specially constructed European-style set at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad.
The film, which marks the first-ever collaboration between Jr NTR and the KGF and Salaar director, is already among the most anticipated Indian releases of 2027. With production progressing at a rapid pace, the latest shooting schedule is said to focus on large-scale stunt sequences that promise to elevate the film’s cinematic experience.
Massive European-style set created for action scenes
According to reports, the production team has recreated a grand European-inspired backdrop inside Ramoji Film City for the ongoing schedule. The elaborate set has reportedly been designed to capture the architecture and atmosphere of Europe, giving the film a distinctive visual identity.
The makers are believed to be shooting several high-voltage action sequences featuring Jr NTR, with insiders suggesting these scenes could become some of the biggest highlights of the film.
Director Prashanth Neel, known for crafting visually grand action dramas, is reportedly mounting the sequences on a scale that matches the larger-than-life world he envisioned for Dragon.
A dark crime saga set in 1967
Earlier, the makers unveiled the teaser of Dragon, introducing Jr NTR as Luger, a ruthless assassin operating in a dangerous criminal underworld.

Set in 1967, the film explores the infamous Golden Triangle, a region historically linked to the international opium trade. The teaser showcased a gritty world dominated by crime syndicates, narcotics trafficking, political unrest, and violent power struggles.
Apart from Jr NTR, the teaser also offered glimpses of Anil Kapoor, Rukmini Vasanth, Ashutosh Rana, and several other key characters who are expected to play crucial roles in the story.
Anil Kapoor takes on Jr NTR
One of the film’s biggest attractions will be the face-off between Jr NTR and Anil Kapoor. The veteran actor reportedly plays the head of the narcotics bureau, setting up an intense battle against Luger, the feared assassin portrayed by Jr NTR.
Interestingly, Dragon marks the second collaboration between Anil Kapoor and Jr NTR after their upcoming Hindi action thriller War 2, making fans even more eager to see the duo share screen space again.
Release date already locked
The makers have officially scheduled Dragon for a worldwide theatrical release on June 11, 2027.
Following the completion of this ambitious action entertainer, Jr NTR is expected to reunite with acclaimed filmmaker Trivikram Srinivas for a mythological action epic, another project that has already generated significant buzz among fans.
