Should Washington Sundar fail to recover in time, the selectors have multiple alternatives in mind. Harsh Dubey, who was part of the squad during the Afghanistan Test, remains a strong candidate. Off-spinner Saransh Jain is also reportedly under consideration.

Meanwhile, left-arm wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav and spinner Manav Suthar are expected to retain their places as India looks to build a versatile spin attack capable of dominating on turning tracks.

Batting Core Likely to Remain Unchanged

Unlike the bowling department, India’s batting order is expected to remain largely unchanged. The selectors are monitoring the recovery of all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy, who continues his rehabilitation at the BCCI Centre of Excellence.
