Bollywood actor Imran Khan has extended his support to students protesting over the alleged exam paper leak controversy, sharing an emotional message on social media that has sparked widespread discussion online. A day after students participated in the Cockroach Janta Party-led Chalo Sansad March on July 20, the actor expressed solidarity with those demanding transparency and accountability in the examination process.

Taking to Instagram, Imran Khan reflected on the images from the protest, saying it was painful to watch students being met with force despite raising concerns about their future. He wrote that seeing police action against young protesters left him deeply disturbed and questioning how such events could be justified.

‘Students deserve accountability’

In his post, Imran Khan said the protesting students had worked hard for their examinations but were ultimately let down by the system. He described them as citizens seeking to be heard, only to encounter silence and resistance.

The actor also questioned whether the voices of students were being ignored despite their concerns directly affecting their futures. Stressing that young people have the greatest stake in the country’s future, he said standing with them was not a matter of politics but of fairness and responsibility.

According to the actor, ignoring students who seek justice today could have long-term consequences for society.

Not his first statement on the controversy

This is not the first time Imran Khan has commented on the issue. Earlier, the actor had addressed the alleged paper leak controversy by stating that it should not be viewed through a political lens.
