New Delhi: Japanese automaker Honda Motor Company is gearing up for a significant product offensive in India, with plans to introduce three new SUVs over the next two years. The lineup includes the Honda ZR-V hybrid, the updated Elevate facelift, and the much-anticipated Honda 0 Alpha EV, marking a decisive push into both hybrid and electric mobility.

With the Indian SUV market becoming increasingly competitive, Honda’s strategy appears focused on premiumisation, electrification and stronger local manufacturing.

ZR-V Hybrid: Honda’s Premium SUV Gamble

The first major launch in this rollout will be the Honda ZR-V hybrid, expected to arrive in India by July 2026.

Positioned above the Honda Elevate, the ZR-V is likely to target the premium midsize SUV segment, going head-to-head with rivals like the Skoda Kodiaq and Jeep Meridian.

Under the hood, the SUV is expected to feature a 2.0-litre petrol engine paired with a dual-motor hybrid system, offering a blend of performance and fuel efficiency.
